GT4 Release Date for the US?

I wasn't around a year ago, and looking at this thread I'm kinda glad I wasn't. Thinking it was coming out at the end of 2003 would have been crazy. I knew it was due out this October, and I known about and wanted the game since I heard the press release but I just started keeping up with all the news this last summer for the sake of my sanity. Then it got delayed and well here I sit with all you great people. Wanting, Waiting till it comes out.

PLease don't let that be for Europe aswell. GT4 is supposed to be a late Xmas prezzie, not an early B-day one

As for the PS3 i have heard 2005, and it will probably be Christmas time so to maximise early sales.

And i did hear January 6th release date, but taht was said back in spetember and may be obsoleute by now. But I am abit disappoiteed on how Sony have handled all this, tehy have left alot of us in the dark on the release date.

stop speculating, it's useless and won't get you anywhere. the PS3 hasn't even been announced, that means it's nowhere close to being released this year.

Some of the bigger online stores are a bit more optimistic about the Pal release:
Amazon Germany have GT4 listed for release on february 14th, Amazon France on february 20th, Amazon UK on february 25th.

Please keep in mind that the above release dates may be completely wrong (and just vague guesses from that company)!

All mayor retailers should have now been notified on the release date being 25th in the UK. As for the rest of europe i belive it is due on the same week but i will check on that one

I am right in thinking the release date in the Uk is 25th of february and the same week for the rest of europe but i have some bad news for US players and that is they have to wait untill 15th of march. Dont ask me why but thats just when it is. It suprised me to considering all the games made in the UK are released in US before UK even. Quite frankly the holdup was as much a shock to me as it will be to you.

I don't know why you find that so funny, many big games are now realeased in the Uk generally a few days after the US get them, It seems the US get there games realeased mid week Tue/Wed and the UK normally get games realeased on the Friday.

Sorry but i have limited access to some infromation from the source that new sites like gamespot and IGN and alot of game retailers get some of their info from. Im just keeping everyone updated with the latest statements. I understand it is confusing but the only thing that has changed since my first post is the US release date which that was only changed today. naturally i reported this staight away on these forums to keep you all posted since there is a whole thread aboout it.

Polyphony Digital usually likes to release on Tuesdays so I'm more inclined to believe it will come out on the 1st more than the 2nd.
