I've had the ace combat 5 bundle since this past tuesday. the 26th I believe.

I loved 4 even though it was a bit easy but its the only game I ever played through more than once and completed it 3 times.
Can you give your opinion? Does it have online?

If you loved 4, you'll like this one even more.

The cutscenes and story are more coherent (and beautiful), more awesome planes, wingmates that you can command, and the visuals are way better.

It's not online.

Great Ive been really looking forward to this, now just have to wait for the release.
I also heard a rumour ages ago that online was dropped so thats no big surprise.
Although it does seem to be a rather common occurance lately doesnt it!
 
As a side note, i just noticed that Forza Uk will release on the same day as GT4, now that could well be an expensive day.
1/ Crystal X box
2/ X Box Live
3/ Forza
4/ GT4

Edit it could be even more expensive.
I just heard Ace combat 5 could be released around then too :scared:

With the purchase of forza (or that crystal xbox, which isn't available here, you punk! :) ), you will likely receive 2 months free of xbox live. So nix that off your list.

You'll also receive a copy of halo 2, non?

No mention of any freebies in the gumpf ive seen, but ive only glanced at it truth be known, ill look into it more nearer the time to find the best deal.

Edit: Devil may cry 3, releases 2 weeks later, the wife wont be Shopping that month :D

And since i gave up on the idea of a full race seat set up, seeming as online and AI wont keep me in the seat for Hours, ill quite happily suffer in my beach seat and Diy stand (its still solid as a rock after 6months of prologue), ill have a bit of spare cash.

The Halo2 bundle may be worth a punt seeming as Xbox live costs £39.99 anyway.

not getting the game out before christmas over here (especially for a huge game like GT, even more so because it was delayed several times already), is like a corporation slitting it's own wrists. So I'm confident they'll release it, bugs or not.

Thank god for rampant consumerism.
 
I would have said the same thing just a week ago about the situation this side of the Pond, and look at us now :(

Doesn't the announcement of a games 'release date usually indicate that everything revolving around the game has been looked-over and that a greenlight, so to say, has been given....as well as a pre-defined number of games having been packaged, shrink-wrapped and ready to be shipped?

If so, than how can a release date be moved back by almost a month...?

It really varies with the publisher. Sometimes, they make mistakes because of communication problems with the developer, or lack of foresight, and they jump the gun.

It should be like you said above, but there are too many variables that can complicate things. A publisher that knows it's business will set dates and meet them consistently, and get proper info for their press releases and marketing departments beforehand.
 
I almost p!ssed myself today............ One of my friends said that GT4 was already out in NZ. What ubber B.S. He must've been thinking of Prologue.

Then don't buy the game if you aren't happy. Just stop complaining - GT4 will be released. Patience is a virtue.

I'll laugh if you come back to the forum in February only to find that everyone else has had the game since December. :)

Since when does IGN have anything right? They also say the game will have only 500 cars, and 6-player online. That's all moose poop, no reason to believe their release date.
