GT4 Slips to Summer

Good old C&VG - never afraid to make stuff up.

How on Earth can GT4 have "slipped", when it has never received an official release date?

what else have they made up?
 
I just realised that it's C&VG.com... The old C&VG magazine in the UK used to make everything up...
 
They are definitely lacking knowledge, effort or both, they didn't even know about the Ginetta G20 being in GT4 until I told them, it's their job to know theses things. The bits they don't make up are put on the site a month after everywhere else has it up, so all they need to do is read another site on GT4 and copy it.
 
PAL release date of June-July wouldn't suprise me in the slightest tbh.

It was C&VG where I first heard of GT : P not being avaible outside Japan(although it came out in China + other countries as well).
 
A christmas release would not surprise me yet. . .
 
It would just be nice of them to let us know sometime soon when exactly its coming out. I hope they dont just keep it a secret and then drop the bomb on us by releasing it out of the blue.

ACtually speaking, I think that would be an excellent marketing scam for Sony to do. . . Let alone I don't agree they should do that, but image, the first time you go into a EB or whatever in a longtime all of a sudden, poof there is GT4 glimmering with a tranlucent light appearing around the game like in an 80's flick. That would make my day.

True but I like to know ahead of time so I can plan out my money so I can hopefully squeeze out the money for it.
 
it's funny, bestbuy.com e-mailed me to say that my pre-order was back ordered and they expect to ship it to me by 1/12/04 hahahahaha
i highly doubt that, hahaha
 
Ur right Famine. Although I though it was April it was supposed to be released for some reason. Looking at some of the online stores here in the UK i found these suppsed release dates-
PLAY - 27/2/04
CD WOW - 1/3/04
GAMEPLAY - 26/3/04
AMAZON - 4/4/04
GAME - may/04

So take ur pick or possibly they are all makin them up! I though Polyphony Digital would have an official site that would tell us. Do they? Sony should release Prologue here as well. Why is it only japan that gets it?

Yeah and then you'd go like this :bowdown: right before you realize that it's the only copy and you hurry to get it and run to the cashier :)
 
And the school kids don't have cash to buy it cos they didn't expect it to be out then. The release date will probably be anounced in the nest month or two.
 
the release date will be announced before the game comes out so until PD and SONY officially make a statement at when it will be released just dont pay attention to places like amazon or whatever because they most likely dont know when the release date is...

What's really funny is I looked up GT4 on amazon.com and it lists March 18, 2004. So the same company can't even get on the same date. Yes, it could be released in NTSC before PAL, but that'd be a bonehead move on Sony's part.

Although the reviews are always good for a laugh.

I don't care when it comes out. I just don't want to be disappointed w/ glitches or rushed cars and tracks. I want it to be perfect. They can have all the time they need, I'll be waiting very patiently...I wouldn't mind having some new pics to look at though for the mean time :p

I would not at all be surprised if it came out in the states first. We in the UK are used to getting things last all the time. :irked:

I want it glitched free too, but I mind that WE in AMERICA didn't get GTC or GT4 Prologue and the date just keeps getting extended. At leaset help relieve the patience here in the USA by making a US version of Prologue. JEEEZ!
 
GT3 got rushed and it lost a lot of cars and rumored drag racing...
 
I wonder why they never thought of putting touge into the GT series. Surely it would easily boost sales in japan.

I don't see why it shouldn't be included. I'd love to be able to drive around those mountain passes, with all their hairpins. I mean the tracks in that Initial D game are really great, but the physics of the cars just sucked. Like you can drift around a tiny hairpin bend at 100mph, yeah right. :rolleyes:
