Yeah, not to mention the opening movie starts with the words "Polyphony Digital". Come to think of it, I hadn't ever heard of Pd until the GT series. What else have they done?

Hmmm gt4 a fake????

I dout that PD and Sony would go through the trouble of making gt4 prologue then not release gt4. if we heard that then people on this forum would hang themselves with there controller cords!

So take ur pick or possibly they are all makin them up! I though Polyphony Digital would have an official site that would tell us. Do they? Sony should release Prologue here as well. Why is it only japan that gets it?

If anyone has been to the EBgames website, they now show June 30th 2004. This one seems about right, unless PD decided to go for Xmas 2004.

I wish we could just drop the whole "official date of release" thing. These are all just ETA's, and they are rarely ever correct. These threads about the same thing over and over are just getting old. We can start talking about the release date once it becomes official.

I didn't mean it in the sense that it WILL come out around June 30th, but more in a way that we all expected it to come out no earlier than summer 2004, and this unofficial release date is proof that our assumptions are correct.

What's the point of talking about a release date once its official? It's all the speculation of what the release date will be that is interesting. Once it's official, who cares anymore... All that is left to do afterwards is to wait for that glorious day, and buy yourself a copy

Well, it looks like a Summer release. My new issue of PSM magazine has changed the release date to Summer, folks. No, it's not official, but then Sony almost never officially announces a delay with a game title, and PSM do get updates for game titles from the publisher...

I guess they mean a North American Summer, which starts in late June and ends in late September.

Right now these are the most official dates I've seen, but don't pin me on them:

27 April: NTSC US version
30 April: NTSC Japan/Asian versions
1 July: PAL/EU version

The delay of the PAL version is apparently because the networking system of Sony in Europe is different from the other two and they have trouble hooking it up

PD or Sony havent made an official statement or press confrence about it, so anything you here at a gameing shop is just Rumors, until you see a website like IGN say Sony made it official GT4 is coming out such and such date dont trust the release dates that are out now...
