I tried to help by giving him some advise and that was his response.
The guy should be given a warning by a Mod at least, and be told he will be banned if he does not improve.

Listen, I only have 1 thing to say. Eagle has never flamed anyone from what I have read on the forums. Sure, I had an argument, but we resolved it. I doubt this kid is less than 16 years old, and thinks he's some bad***.

- Online play is not as established as the Xbox (Netcode not as good as XBox)
- No Skidmarks
- No Ferrari & Porsche & Lamborghini
- No reverse lights
- Some of the car's look blurred (possibe just bad screen shots) and yes it's the car in focus
- The AI runs on tracks ( make's the AI predictable)



Um, gran turismo 3 has reverse lights, why wouldnt gt4?

Also i think ion one of the GT4 replays there are skidmarks

and the online play will be free unlike xbox :sly:

What game are tellling us about? And GT3 did not have reverse lights. This is supposedly fixed in GT4. And from what we don't know if Lamborghini is in it or not. And GT4's AI won't be as predictable. They don't run on tracks to much when the cars are all closed together. GT4 will be fixing and reworking this problem as well.

BTW, it's called Live. And you can play other games on Connect which is free.

Rightie hoe... looks like the Forza developers have started to use the Xbox properly... That's a pretty sweet car there...

I suspected that it was only going to be a matter of time until Forza's gfx overtook GT4's...

However having said that... I think that GT4 looks more "real" than Forza... I'm not quite sure how to quantify that statement... but maybe it's cos the cars in GT(4) aren't as shiny as Forza... Or maybe it's cos the cars look a bit more metallic in GT4... not sure... Does anyone else know what I'm rambling about?!

Yes, i now what youre rambling about. It looks a little bit plastic. GT4 has more real (ambient) emotion in its graphx. Mmm, looks like the Emotion Engine EE its doing its work. To me the PC has those graphx too, o wait xbox is basicly a PC;), That clears it.

No really, for me MANYl PC/xbox games look a little plastic, too clean.

You can obviously see that Forza has the better textures and FSAA, but that doesnt really hold GT4 from being more realistic!!! :sly:
 
I know what you are saying Yeti about the "Look" of the graphics. But it is not fair to say GT4's graphics are "Better" because the style of the graphics is a matter of personal taste.
The only things you can quantify are the number of pixels, number of polygons depth of colour and frame rate. In that respect Forza's graphics are Technically better. Having said that, I prefer the look of GT4's cars.

The TVR above looks good as the paint job has depth to it, it has more than just a linear shade across its surface, also the GT-One and Fina have had some time spent on modelling...but there are some lazy modellers working on Forza.

There is no excuse for this :)

That colour looks like a temp fill straight off a swatch card. And the tyres seriously need some back to black, they are way past their best :) With the power and resources available to x-box developers, I am suprised they release shots like that.
 
Well it's not finished, so lets wait and see. All the xbox racers I've seen have pretty shadows, and I'm sure this will be no different.
 
The graphics look excellent to me. I'm definitely picking this up, especially if GT4 isn't out 'til next year. I have no doubt GT4 will be better, but Forza looks like an excellent second option and it will have features GT4 doesn't.

I see what your saying and thankyou for sayong it a way that doesn't bash or put down anyone else here hint at either game being crap. I agree that the style of graphics seem better in most GT4 shots, we'll have to wait and see about both finished products, I've seen a vid of Forza on a DVD at a mates house and it looked stunning, as for that TVR, it's not meant to look metallic because it isn't made of metal ;).

GT3 had fake, boxy shadows. Big deal. It still looked great for the time. I haven't seen any dynamic shadows in GT4 yet either.

The lancia looks pretty weak, except for the nice wheel models. 👍

Well, for now, I just have my PS2, but I might get to buy an Xbox from another guy, and if I do so, I will get Forza for sure, even if I don't get the Xbox, I'll rent it with Forza to see and compare for sure. I didn't tought of Forza as a serious competitor, but the game seems to get interesting and it has some points in its favor.(You know some car makers we won,t get in GT :) )

I don't think this dispute will ever be settled :)

But there is a Fina in both games so...

As you can see the x-box is much sharper, but you can tell very little from a static screen shot as to how the game will actually be like in motion, or more importantly, what it will play like

I don't know why, but the PS2 version just looks more realistic especially in the front end area.
 
^ one thing to note... is motion blur in GT... the fina there looks like it's at speed, whereas the forza shot looks like it's parked (a common complaint about GT in the past... no sense of speed).

I agree that we shouldn't really compare the games til the final playable versions are out, b/c before that it's too hard to know exactly where they are in the development process. Also, with photo mode in GT, some screen caps while looking in-game are enhanced by that tool.

IMO, the end result is going to be 2 very strong games each with some things better than the other... at this point i'm still giving the edge to GT as it is the sixth game in the series as opposed to the first for the Forza brand, and that experience coupled with Kaz's direction should lead to a better overall gaming experience. But the real comparison of the 2 development teams will come in the future... say GT6 and Forza 3... the second version of the games on the next gen platforms that are coming out at roughly the same time (so hardware specs will be much closer than the current PS2 Xbox gap).

Yep, Its meant to be the same car, but if you look, the wing mirrors are different and the air intake on top, and also the rear wing!

What does the real one look like! Obviously some artistic licence is allowed :)
