^ ya it's so horrible watching a legend perform to the highest calibre :boggled:

yes it would be more exciting to have extremely close races every time out, but you have to respect the skill and quality of Schumacher's drives... at the end of his career, his numbers and performance will show he was the best F1 driver of all time, and i'm glad i got to witness it... just like people talk about watching Ali box.

6 minutes 40 seconds in a Porsche 956, in 1982, give or take a few seconds, of course. Road car record is at 7:32 by the Gemballa GTR600 (and if one doofus talks about the Radical SR3 turbo, I kick his ass. That's not a proper road car.)

Radical SR3 is street legal with street tyres. So why you aren't listing it?
Nordschleife opened in 1928. Original circuit had 88 left-hand and 84 right hand bends. Total length was 22.835 if I remember right. Main straight was 2.2XX.

In PGR2, I got 7:30 in a Carrera GT! Yay! I'm the new record-holder! ;) I've also gone aroung the 'burg in a Mazda Miata. Took me 10 minutes, but it wasn't that bad.

The Norschleife is not the longest track to have hosted an F1 race. Pescara is longer. 16 miles vs the Nordschleife's 14.

The Pescara circuit was established in 1924 and in 1957 hosted a round of the Formula 1 World Championship. The 15-mile circuit remains the longest track used for a World Championship race and featured a four mile straight beside the Adriatic and then a wild ride inland through the Abruzzo hills. It included a level crossing and several hill villages. It was at Pescara in 1934 that Ferrari's rising star Guy Moll was killed. The home of the Coppa Acerbo in the 1930s, Pescara hosted a 12 Hour sportscar race in the 1950s. The track faded away in the 1960s as it was impossible for the organizers to guarantee safety.

PGR2s is a bit wider & flatter than the real thing, should be interesting with the 'more-accurate' GT4 version :)

Be nice if we could select weather/time of day for the 'ring, but that might just be asking too much of the PS2 & PD ;)
