Forza has 100 tracks?

The forza ad men say that but almost all of them are reverse or short versions of the same thing. In total there are about 20-25 unique tracks and (I think) only two of them are real(NBring&La Sarthe).

But yeah, for those who want it, it would have been good to include it.

That's what I'm talking about.
Imagine that I don't want to play on LIVE and I know what I'm doing.
I can connect of course but it's another question.I don't want to pay $ for this crap while I have GT and very happy with it in single player mode.
(my Xbox I got for free).
What did we see?Yes.Money again. To enjoy the game you need to buy a Gold Member****.I don't wanna talk about this.We all know about M$.

23 unique.Almost all are real.(More than half at least)

I'm fairly sure most of them are just fictional tracks in real locations alucard.

lol. Nope. Where do some people get their info!

Circuit de Catalunya
Le Mans
Laguna Seca
Mugello
Nurburgring Grand Prix Circuit
Nurburgring Nordschleife
Road America
Road Atlanta
Sebring
Silverstone
Suzuka
Tsukuba
Motegi

Those are the real ones.

He may be thinking of Enthusia, whose only real tracks were Tsukuba and The Nurb.

When they are planing to release it there will be a lot of commercials showing in the end the release date as usual. GT5 will not be released soon because of other upcoming megahits like God Of War.

i think they commercials will come a week or so after wards. Look at the Mass Effect 2 commercials. The game came out a 3 weeks ago and the commercials started coming out a week ago.

I can see your point of view alucard but for me the £40 a year a gold membership costs me is well worth the excellent service I receive as a result.

Sebring,Tsukuba,Road Atlanta,Twin Ring Montegi are real.Don't remember other.Need help! :)

Ah I see. What's the point in having a console if it's not connected to the internet?
Do you really want an answer or did you ask that stupid question just to look dumb?
One of my consoles, for example, was banned due to "3rd party" memory device. So I got another that I had online til the membership ran out and then I told MS to kiss my ass. Only game I play online is COD on my PS3. I don't feel like paying $30 a year just to see how my times measure up to other people.

I have Wii and PS3 - so I *absolutely* don't interesed in Xbox.But I love HALO!(and arcade games are awesome too!)Again it's another question.

What I mean - if Forza have some simple features (that all other games have) I enjoy the game MUCH more.So I'm sad because I want to play it but after 10mins I've always got disappointment. And it's really strange that this game missing VERY basic things while it has "advanced" (what they call it) features.
Sorry for ENG.

Thanks for that. Nice to see you are so welcoming to new members. I could have said something similar to you when you got things about damage in FM3 wrong but I didn't.

You have your reasons but a much bigger part of most games is given over to MP these days. You talk about wasting $30 bucks on live but how much money are you wasting by paying $60 for a game and only using half of it's features?

I don't see it as wasting any money as the online features are usually sub-par to the offline experience. If the game is worthy I get it for the ps3, if I know the online sucks, I get it for the 360.

I wish I could say I'm usually nicer and that it's all the medication I'm on that's causing the douche attitude, but it wouldn't be true.

Ok dave, your entitled to your opinion but I've always found playing racing games against other humans much more involving and exciting than against AI drivers but it would be a pretty boring world if we all thought the same.

I used to be pro online everything but after some time when the online experience just gets worse and worse, it's time to move on. Forza 3 was the last straw. Now I only wish I had XBL so I could get the free tunes that are out there.

The game has a very good online mode, but the fact is it is not just an online game. They put in a career mode because not everyone wants to play online all the time. I have live and I would still rather race offline more often than not. Is it too much to ask that the Career mode is actually good?

Playing in single mode is just DIFFERENT experience!!!More relaxed feel. When you play really for pleasure.Against yourself. No worry about opponents.

Midway through year 5 I completely stopped playing FORZA3, it became a chore, it stopped being fun. I just started buying every car and tuning them for different tracks. But remembering my experiences with online, I still wouldn't go back. Looking for a race with decent people was too much of a hassle.

Forza - BAD game with some GOOD things.
Gran Turismo - GOOD game with some BAD things.

Period. :)

^Perfectly summed up only i'd call forza average

If I remember most boring game this will be Forza 3.That's why I can't call it a "game".Bunch of features - yes.But game - no.Remember the career mode?:yuck::grumpy::guilty::indiff:  :scared::crazy:
(I'm on 50 level - ZERO motivation)

finn you thought Forza 3 only had two real world tracks. Are you really in a position to make such a summation?

Too many people here have opinions on a game based off of Youtube videos (yet, some get downright pissed off when someone criticizes GT based on the same ill-advised ethic) without ever having played the game. Yes, they throw reward cars at you at every driver level. Yes, that in itself is ridiculously compromising because it alters the experience. No, not every single car sounds exactly as it should (then again show me one game that does replicate engine audio 100% to the "T" without end-user involvement) but they all sound pretty damn close; a great deal of them are even on the money - to argue that means you're obviously incapable of giving any sort of ovation to a game whose title does not begin with "Gran."

No, Forza does not look as "dashing" and Gran Turismo 5 does, but to keep resorting to visual features, to me, hints at those who do it (constantly) really have nothing else to say, and or compare it to. Then again, if all you're worried about is graphics you shouldn't own an Xbox 360 nor a PS3, you should invest into a computer - end of story. No game (especially a racing game) will ever live up to our expectations because as automotive aficionados, we expect the best of everything: audio, features, interactivity, customization, etc... and there is only so much any of these two developers can focus on, PD just happens to have a better platform to work on, again, end of story.

At this point both games are losing their meaning because members are so incessant on choosing a side for absolutely no reason. Of course, you can like (or love) one game more than the other, that's to be expected. To continuously bash one game as if you were having relations with one of the developers is just stupid. I finally understand why Kazunori shrugs off a lot of the requested features that so many us say would make the game more authentic; the hardcore (mostly blind) fans are just going to say "This wasn't needed" or "They could have spent those resources for this and that." I wouldn't want to put hard work into skid marks/tire scrubbing or reverse lights either.

+1. I just can't understand it. It's like totally denouncing every other make of car because you prefer a Ferrari.

yes, but a lot of people do it. Most things don't make sense.
Forza and GT are different experiences IMO and if you can't enjoy both equally, but differently, something is wrong with you.

Yikes... what excellent service is that?? The privilege of playing online?

Frankly, T10 frooked up the F3 online system by yanking out things that worked well in F2, primarily the lobby system. This is just insanity to me. I don't know what's wrong with Microsoft. It's like they go out of their way to mess up everything. And then expect you to pay for it, and like doing it. Wonderful, so now you have to join some kind of a club if you want decent racing... and I'm still not sure how that even works.

Good grief, the gaping wounds in this series. Makes me laugh at the whole "reverse lights" and "2D trees" arguments.

Oh, and for the record, I enjoy Forza and Gran Turismo differently... and I'll leave it at that.

Ok, guess I'm preaching to the wrong congregation. Guess I'll just bow out of this community and try and find another one. But as a huge fan of GT it's kind of sad. You guys enjoy the game when it comes out.

Yeah what is that excellent service you're talking about?

-Use the headset and hear stupid things and insults from noob fm3 players who can't accept the fact you're better than them?
-Have a matchmaking that tells you there are 200 players playing A class circuit races but keeps putting you in the SAME lobby 5 times in a row even if you choose to avoid 2 players in there (and in the meantime waste 15 minutes)?
-See a noob loser spamming chat invites to make your console freeze and not being able to block him from your dashboard because he never answers to any of your voice/written messages?
-See some players lagging like nuts, and compromise your race position?
-See sometimes your console freeze for 2 seconds when a players leaves the race, and compromise your race position?

Wow, hopefully I paid my 12 months xbl 28 euros instead of 60.

Christ guys your like a pack of wolves tearing into me lol. I'd hate to see what happened if I actually said something bad about GT instead of just disagreeing with what some have said about FM3. I have a great time playing FM3 with buddies, just like I have a great time playing, Supercar challenge, rfactor, GTR Evolution, GT5P, and the list goes on, with them. As I said above it would be a pretty crappy world if we all thought the same way.
