Earlier race times are needed. 8:30pm Wednesday UK, 2:30pm pacific, or one hour later on Fridays because I'm going to college again in two weeks and can't really get up at 4am  Meeting times are fine!

Hi, originally there was a Thursday race meet planned for 10pm GMT? Has that changed? I could make that one, but unfortunately ordinarily Wed evenings (badminton club) and most Fridays are no good for me :-( I understand that accommodating everyone is impossible, but with the Thursday eve I could have at least made the one race in the week, even if it meant missing the Wednesday rounds...

I can do thursday 9:45pm - thats when I thought meeting were

EDIT: @Sixflags48, maybe the Championship should be called GTTCC (Gran Turismo Touring Car Championship)
+ each driver should have a picture of their car under their name on the OP. eg this would be mine.

I can sort it out, send me the picture through PSN

Perhaps I misread sixflags48's message, who was suggesting an alternative to Wednesday when he referred to Friday.

The Thursday race slot mentioned is definitely good for me.

Will anyone be on at 8:30pm GMT tonight?

Wondering about a practise session

That could work for me, although maybe a tad after that, possibly about 9pm.

The only problem for me is that I have to work a job with odd hours, and the only way I could get the season races to be the same date is if I put it at 22:00 wed. but if it could work for you guys (I know this could be a stretch) is if I post the race time a week before, it will stay on Wed, but be in between 10:00 and 22:00

Alright, see you there :)

Sorry raceorama, I was a bit late getting in and think I missed you- but have received your friend request so hopefully we can sort another session out soon. i'll be around for a while now though if you decide to come back on..

Sorry for the wall of text!

Thank you so much Fuel, your advice was really good and really appreciated. Well I managed to fit the aero bits on and trimmed the weight down and added ballast. After all that managed to trim my best lap down to 2:04.2. Still not consistent though, did manage about 3 high 2:04's in a row but then couldn't get near for a while after. Still struggling with locking up the wheels! Fitted the customisable LSD but not really sure how to set that up either but will have a play around!

Try no ABS on the DS3 and you'll know all about locking up the fronts :ouch:

The tires will have high amounts of Deg being softs and the FF cars aren't kind to the tires so you can't expect your times to be the same from start to finish.

I think there are guides in the tuning forum about tuning the LSD for FF cars, so searching there could be a good shout.

Initial: 10
Accel: 45
Braking: 5

Try these settings, taken from https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=4301311http:// It's the tune by RKM Motorsport for their Civic Type R. Their car runs with more BHP then yours so maybe tone it down a bit but this is a good starting point.

This is true. I run my brake pressure at 3/3.

Anyways, the Civic responds well to 5/30/15, I find. Removing some initial torque removes torque steer/acceleration understeer. It plagues my autocross car, just the same as it plagues my ITCC Honda. The BTCC Honda won't be much different. My ITCC Honda goes head to head with RX-7s and 86GTs, so it's worth looking into. The only thing is, that the RX-7 runs 20 HP less, and 50 kg more.

Thanks both, really appreciate the tips and you've been so helpful :-) , given me some starting points and whilst it has not made me any faster yet, playing with the brake balance is making the point of lock up slightly easier to judge. I'm having lots of fun experimenting though with the set ups. Gonna give it a rest for a few days now though as I'm gonna be out of town, but hopefully we can have a group test on track at some next week.

You're welcome. I'm not about to hide all of Winter Stars' little secrets, it's a free tuning garage. :) I'm just doing it for practice, for my real life racing. :)

The Focus at the moment is running 3/1, any more than that on the rear and the thing whips around on me if I'm pushing. This is much safer if a little slower, maybe 10m per braking zone. But I can take that over being in the wall...

Not a problem :) And that's the point :D If you're enjoying it then you'll race better. Also you get a nice sense of achievement when you perfect your car for your driving style.

Dont worry, I got hooked with the Olympic diving so wasn't online that long

There are both quite true, but, even more so in real life. Seriously, driving a Hyundai Accent on an autocross circuit, once you learn to get the back-end destabilized (tuning restricted by the SCCA) and get some slip angle, is epic fun. I like FF cars that turn in like FR cars. Having a sure-fire way to turn in with slip angle, in my Hyundai, was quite fun. And, having fun got me second place in class.

Also in Toca VW Scirocco was too fast like 8 mph faster up the Monza straights and 10 up Le sarthes (You couldn't even pass in it's draft ), needless to say it killed season 4.2.

Unless the OP already had a car list. Don't you TOCA guys run with Integra Type R touring cars?

I'm not in the series but they're using the Civic Type R, Volvo C30, Focus ST, Atenza Sport and the Skyline 350GT.

I think we are trying to keep as close as we can to the WTCC/BTCC car entries tezgm99 :) with the only ones missing that I can see being the Golf and the Vectra, gets hard when you are limited by GT5's car list (also confused as to why the Scirocco was picked over the Golf but hey.

On lap times, just dipped into the 2'03"s. Really liking the car now :D

There was a Citroen rally car, and touring and rally used similar specs in a way, so I guessed that the normal car would work well

We used the Integra Touring cars and Mazda's and the like in the first two seasons. They continue to race in the legends championship.
