GT5 doesnt fit screen

Has anyone had the issue of GT5 not filling the screen? It fits vertically but not horizontally. My TV is only a year old 60" DLP and this is the only game or anything ive ever had an issue with.

Mine is actually larger than the screen, so it ends up cutting some at the sides, like I can only see half of the exit, help, settings tabs at GT Home.

Same here. I have a 46" and a 26" and only the 26" fit the whole screen (100% in option). With the 46 I have to reduce the screen to 96% and it showing black on the sides.

My 50" 1080p fits perfectly. I'm sure you have checked but is the aspect ratio set correctly on the TV?

I have a projector with a huge picture (you can imagine) 6foot X 5foot, at first I had to change the aspect for it to fit. Try finding something similar in the menu.

Either your TV is overscanning (or underscanning), you don't have a 16:9 TV (it might be 16:10 which is PC ratio but seems unlikely for a year old DLP) or perhaps you have not done the screen size calibration under settings (it should have run the first time you installed GT5).

If your picture is too big for the screen, I would suggest first trying to turn off overscan, if that doens't work, run the screen size calibration tool in settings and zoom it down until it fits.

If your screen is too small, also try the screen size calibration too, but if it's only too small one way, it's almost certainly somemthing with your TV. See if your TV has any zoom controls and try to increase the height or decrease the width (then increase zoom) to make it fit.

Just change the settings in the options menu.. Under display settings, go to HD screen size and increase or decrease it.. Mine was set to 90% by default so I just upped it to 98% otherwise it cuts off some of the icons on the side..

Ive got a 50" plasma that is about 4 years old. I get black bars on each side as well. At first I just figured it was some weird thing with the game, but if others are getting the whole screen filled without cutting off the top and bottom, it makes me wonder...

On my TV (don't know the size, just know it's an LG) the 16:9 ratio does the same thing. To get the full picture I have to set the aspect ratio to "Just Scan". I don't know what it means but it displays the full size picture.

In the Option Menu in GT5 (yes, in the game itself and not on your TV), scroll down Hardware and scroll sideway till you get to the Display Option> choose Set Display Size (HD)>follow the instruction at the bottom of the screen on how to adjust the screen (use the rectangular red marker as a guide).

This and your TV, at least mine does (Samsung), could have an option to reposition the picture.

The problem lies in the TV. My "DLP" TV does the same thing. They have this black edges that cuts off quiet a bit too. With GT5's lowest/smallest screen settings, I'm afraid it'll still have some cut-offs.
