GT5 Exclusive in February OPM

They need to release more to build this hype. 3 months to release and what have we seen? The last GT5 official trailer was 6 months ago.

Thats so true that, I get sick of reading the same infos for months on end. Then when something new arises it's just like "oh.. Is that all? How boring!" because it's only something silly that we care less about.

By this time (3 months prior to release) I'd expect at least a car and track list. I'm going to take a guess and say that magazine holds pretty much the same stuff we already seen at TGS.

No. Game is rendered in 1280x1080(if i remember right) and upscaled to full 1920x1080.

well, I know that's the case. Do you think it will really be rendering in 1920x1080 (FULL HD) in the FULL GAME? Just curious. :)
 
I think the key word here is wreck.

So far the damage we've seen to road cars could hardly be considered a wreck.

No one thinks anything, but that's what it says on the OPM cover, see? ;)
 
"Wreck" is probably just to help sell a few more magazines. I can't see Ferrari accepting their cars being totally wrecked.

I want to see the damage that NASCAR's receive, dammit :sly:

In fact, I was wondering the term 'Full HD' they used, whether it really means 1920x1080 or simply mean 1080p. :)

I'm not sure why people are pessimistic, OPM did a great reveal on MGS4 and Killzone 2 both games which had a considerable gap between trailers(killzone 2 being MIA from 2 E3s I might add).

Were obviously not going to get a full track list or car list, and full disclosure on nascar or WRC that alone would take up several pages. Whats so bad about a progress report on graphics,physics, sounds, release date, general questions about PD studios and online(Also remember how PD let some press into there studios to show a new trailer featuring full on damage in Nascar,night racing,etc)?

Furthermore once GTAcademy's 1st round is over there is going to be another new track to be played on for the top players, so thats two new tracks in 4 weeks.
 
Wasn't the ferrari unbreakable? I mean only scratchable.

I really don't understand why PD have to spill the beans about anything.

If they don't mention a darn thing until after consumers get their retail copies and find out for themselves, I'll be just as happy to be one of those consumers.

Oh I'm sorry, I had this misguided notion that they have to market the game before releasing it. :rolleyes:

If this is a true genuine front page of the magazine I have good feelings about it since it says few things which never said before:
a) 1000 Cars in Full HD - note that GT5P and GT5D are not FULL HD, they are some kind of middle resolution

They just do it for promotion, GT5P was also called FullHD before.

b) "World Exclusive" - I think that this phrase wouldn't be using if the info inside the magazine was the same info we already know from various shows/events/magazines (over 950 cars, 20 locations/70 variations, damage included, weather is in progress, etc.). This kind of phrase is pretty "strong" so there must be some new info

You mean like all the other world exclusive reports from the past? :lol:

c) The JP release date is very close, so PD/Sony must release the info to build up hype rather than let people wait til JP release and find the info by themselves.

This is true, but doesnt mean anything for this magazine we are talking about here.

I just hope that we won't be let down like in previous magazines/shows. So let's wait around 3 weeks to get updated (I suspect we will hear rumors before magazine release if there is truly new info in that magazine)

That picture wasn't published before and it's impossible to miss it, it's a great one. If OPM have something we dont, maybe they also know something we don't and are ready to publish it. Hell gt5 is just 3 months away!
 
I'm expecting some screenshots of a wrecked Enzo and hoping for a hands-on preview of the head-tracking

I missed the long-tailed version of McLaren F1 Race Car '97 (white colour body with 'FINA' logo on it, the one in GT4) so much! I hope this beauty is there in GT5. :drool:
 
Also,on GameStop's site,GT5 is listed to come out 2/2/2010 or Feb 2,2010 for the US,
 
That release date isn't accurate. Official announcement isn't made by PD yet. Stay tuned. ;)
 
Don't spill alot of the beans PD, make people work for it. Its not like they'll be happy with what they have anyway.
 
I jsut hope they take the time and make the game kickass instead of rushing it the last bit. :sly:
 
As crazy as this sounds, i think i like the fact that i might get into GT5 without knowing anything.

I somehow miss the old feeling of buying games i wanted and be blown away by the surprises... like i felt with the original GT or with my Mega Drive games in the pre-internet era.
 
I just want one thing : a solid release date.
I don't need much more information than that..
I like surprises.
 
I would like to start the game and explore all the cool stuff, but I just want to see it in all it's glory

It would make sense if it were Famitsu, but why would a western magazine get the scoop first? Before anyone comes out with "GT sells more in the west", Famitsu even had the scoop on Gamescom before anyone.

I honestly hope I'm wrong and we get some new and interesting info in OPM, but with the last couple of big previews from magazines turning out to be old info (for GTPers at least), I'm definitely not holding my breath.
