GT5 Exclusive in February OPM

I don't know about you guys, but I wouldn't pre-order it until a solid release date was given by SCEA or whichever respective region Sony is in relative to your residentcy ( Not that it'll stop some people from importing straight from Japan of course). I definately find the sudden amount of february release dates to be suspicous yet at the same time, the fact that its more of the magazines, sites and stores all pointing at February (as opposed to only amazon.com and autoblog.com and their horribly false dates months ago) makes me wonder. Sure, it might them copying each other but why just now with the release date in Japan coming ever so close?

I doubt it would be February, mainly because it would have to have gone gold by now, which would certainly be known by the public.

Why does it matter? I just put my pre order in to have it pre ordered. I don't care what they think the official date is. When an official date is announced, then I'll go pick up my pre ordered copy on that date.

I'm guessing you don't remember what happened with GT4. Thats why it matters (at least to me).

Yes, along with the fact that when it finally came out, I had to buy it upfront instead because the store I lived near at the time cancelled the pre-orders:grumpy: So basically with that bad experiance in mind, thats pretty much explains it. I don't really trust pre-ordering anything now with a dodgy release date or one that hasn't been announced.

First, I'm hoping, not expecting... :-| but it is a strong hope :)

However, since the same magazine already release a GT5 details few months ago (I can't remember the date) and those details was again with nothing new, I don't think that the same magazine will release again the same info. There must be some new info - I just don't think that the magazine has some pages to fill in and hasn't got enough info to put inside...

3 weeks to ago and we will find out.
 
Everyone learns everything before the magazines on the internet.This time OPM will care about this situation and they gonna give something new infos..

I never pre-order unless it comes with something special that I want (which hasn't happened for a long time). When the game finally comes out I'll go to actual shops and see who has it first, has it cheapest and has the best packages (a shop my sister works at often sells games with nifty things). I've never had a game sell out on me to make me desire preordering.

Me too! No worries here mate! I was not afraid of it selling out I just wanted to make sure that when it does come out my copy is paid for already. It would suck if it was released between paydays and I had to wait till I had the money a week after it has been out. That would be worse than this long wait for the release in my opinion.
 
That Enzo picture is exclusive and we haven't seen it before !
I know every single picture released since GT5 prologue was announced and I can tell you that this picture was not amongst the previous ones.

So we might hope !

Same here. I have pre-ordered in the past, but only because of some extra that it came with, or because there was a significant cost-saving by doing so. Gone are the days of FUD being spread about games selling out etc. Just does not happen. For any major release you can walk into a high street store and pick up a copy of the game on release date.

No we saw that but it was not playable it seemed only in replay.
so yes new info is coming ..fingers crossed

Shopping around is even more important in Australia when is comes to games. :indiff:

The magazine could let slip that....
at the end of the game the Ferrari F50 is shot in the back by the FXX outside a Pizza Hut. It is then revealed that the Testarossa was cheating on them both! The Testarossa then kills herself after hearing of F50's death

Somewhen this month as magazines are usually released a month before their date, July 2010 issue released in June-Just an example.

I'm not familiar with OPM, can we expect a GT5 blowout or something? Although at this point it would be expected.

Don't expect much.
 
Polyphony Digital wont release any information at all until the release, and the notion that any magazine would have an exclusive "We have it all" is a joke. If it were a magazine in Japanese it might be in the perhaps likely category. OPM is not as far as I know. This is only a speculation and not facts, but something I believe.

Well, it is the "Official" magazine, so one would expect them to have a little more access than most ?
 
Don't pin your hopes in it. Being the consoles official mag doesn't usually mean much, they're stil getting the same information as other journalists 9 times out of 10. Beyond the occasional interference from Sony with "you must print this next issue" peices and such, I think they operate pretty much the same as any other mag.
 
The last magazines that promised to have "world exclusive" information basicly summed up rumors from the internet and some facts, that were posted on GTPlanet months ago.

Possibly, either way OPM did a huge blowout for both MGS4 and Killzone 2. So i would expect a decent amount of fresh info.
