GT5: GT Mode

Hey guys, just wondering if GT Mode in GT5 is different from previous GT games.

I'm also glad that the licenses are here. time to get all gold thru IB before getting my 8th car (7 DLC ones to start with). Or maybe it would be my 17th car if i got 9 from licenses :drool:
 
Have you played GT4? If yes, then obvious answer is obvious. If no, then ask someone who has played GT4 (besides me ;))

But I haven't been on it since 2007, so I have forgotten most of it really. :sick:

So can you tell me whats the difference between GT5's GT Mode to GT4's one then?

GT4 has a world map which you navigate around. That GT5 UI does not sport such world map. Is that good? :p
 
the layout's different, kinda reminds me of GT2 where everything you needed was right there and there was no jumping to the world map and searching for what you want like in GT4. I'm sure there is a world map, but this looks a lot better. other than that, it would appear there are some of the same features.

Just thinking, but the other Special with the GT logo could be Special Series like maybe a NASCAR series or WRC series

yeah..haven't played either GT2 or 3 in a while. But it's almost like a combination of GT2 with the quick jump buttons and GT3 where everything was selectable from a single menu.
 
Nice... Used car dealership confirmed with proof in the image.

Community and Profile tabs on the left hand side. That points to the online being linked to GT mode not Arcade mode, which is a good sign.

Generally I like the layout. But I have a feeling when you click on the car dealer tab it goes to a GT4 style world map with all the manufacturers in their home countries, which should be good. Hoping it's not just a drop down menu like GT3. At least, that is how I would prefer it, because it gives the game more character. Some prefer the GT3 way because it saves them a bit of time, but I think it takes something out of the game.

That would be 35,000 in the credits you are used to. In the Japanese version it adds 3 zeros (Or rather the opposite, 3 zeroes get removed for the western market), to make it closer to Yen.

I think "Special Events" will be rallying/NASCAR, the icon with just "Special" will be missions like in GT4.

This is just a theory though.

I'm not really THAT new to GTP. i have actually been reading threads for a long time before i bothered to register (mainly to get an idea for how the community is here). even then i don't post a lot. BUT, thanks ;)
 
It'll probably be just like every other GT iteration. Similar to the one before it, just a different menu system. Either way, I can't wait to get my hands on it :D .

I think you're right. Maybe add endurance races to that aswell.

It'd be nice to have the driving missions from GT4 back, since I really liked those. I just hope that if they are included, they'd remove the "wait two minutes" thing from the catch-up missions, because that crap drove me crazy! 🤬

This is the 'World Map'. Look behind the shiny icons and you'll see the map. Only the menu items aren't specific points on the map, so that they can instead be big and sexy.
 
It will probably be the same. Sunday cup, club man cup, then on to bigger races. the races with specific car types. Like someone else said it will probably be the same but with different menu setups. Maybe more stuff if anything. i doubt they will take out anything they had before.
