Has there been any information about how standard cars will perform in photomode? If I remember correctly, premium cars allow us to open doors and switch on lights etc.
Just like in GT4 I suppose.

Standard cars are much more prudish I reckon, they take some persuasion.
What about Monaco Monte Carlo ?
No confirmation ?
Yes, you need to buy some flowers for them first!

Without playing it, I don't know if he's right or not. But any modern-built, F1-approved track recreated in GT-o-matic perfect light is going to be sterile - without being in front of 100,000 fans cheering you/baying for your blood, the atmosphere of a race event isn't going to be simulated by any game. If they've managed to also bring that sterility to more interesting tracks too, he's right.
The Monza I drove at GamesCom didn't feel sterile at all - especially not when being harried by 11 FIAT 500s. Nor did the 2009 version of La Sarthe. These are tracks where there's no margin for error and there's always something happening, even on the straight bits. Piazza del Campo looked brilliant - I didn't drive it - but the Nuerburgring GP track section felt dull, especially compared to the Nordschleife section. You'd literally drive a limp, lifeless track and, suddenly, one corner later it's exciting and terrifying.
Yes, it's hard being a standard car in a world where the idealised beauty is a premium model with big...working doors!Or tell them some white lies politely, like saying they look as beautiful as those Premium "models".

Opening doors in Photo Mode would be epic. I mean, why create beautiful interiors if you can't photograph them?
I have a question now that the discussion is about wheels.
I would very much like to get a Driving Force GT for Gran Turismo 5 but is it a good idea without a proper setup? I can't imagine it will be an improvement playing from the sofa and putting the wheel on a coffee table. Any advice how I can place it comfortably without buying a wheel stand?
My set up started life as a bedside cabinet and armchair, but it evolved during the wait for GT5.
As far as I know from the released screenshot, you can turn the wheel at different angles and have the light ON/OFF:

Switching on Lights? If you meant headlights, then yes! It'll probly be next to wheel/tire angle in the camera menu.
Opening Doors?? If you meant taking a picture of a rally car who's had its doors ripped off in a horrific predetermined accident, then possibly.
Who knows if its true, however, I don't remember any of what you stated to have been confirmed. Where'd you get your source?

It says Car Options. I wonder what that involves...
Quite simply things like lights on or off, wheel angle, etc. I reckon, the things you can change on the car whilst using Photo Mode.

Regarding working doors, GT4 had a few cars that were shown with their doors open in the showroom - the MB 300SL for example.
