Wheres this info pulled from? Sounds awesome.

When asked what part of GT5 he was most proud of I think he said online. The question may have been what part took the longest/hardest.

Either way online is going to be a huge part of this game.

The greatest advantage for PD is that they released Prologue. Which has probably turned out to be a huge beta test. I think all will run smooth. Plus PD doesn't seem to cut corners ever, evidence can be found in their servers. Since they have the 2nd largest collection of servers in Tokyo.

The reason why GT5 looks sterile? Because it doesn't smear on the bloom and sepia filters ala Grid, Shift and co :)

That has always been a gripe of mine concerning those games. Just looks weird to me, like they're "trying too hard", or hiding the inadequacies of the game by making it flamboyant.

I hope that the online won't have so much lag. The online gameplay on GT5P kinda sucked for me because the cars didnt run so smoothly. For example, I'm side by side with this guy and all of a sudden he's already done with the turn and I didnt even see him go through the turn! lol

good broadband connection ,spec III update, pro physic = no lag in my book :)

25 days to go and we still don't know everything! Crazy!!

And we most likely wont. PD likes to keep surprises, alot of things we'll know only after we play the game ourselves. That is if the reviews wont be too spoiler filled :D Come to think of it, i wont read any, i wanna find out for myself. That probably means not reading this forum too :D

Some people my find this annoying, however I like that we don't know everything about the game. Sometimes when a new game comes out they release so much information it feels like I already played the game. Im pretty sure though before release day they will release some information.

Personally, I prefer it that way. Beforehand info is cool and all, but not too much. It's more fun to discover new features on your own.

There is an element of truth in that, though I think it would be nice at this stage (with under a month till release) for PD to go into a little more detail with what they have in the way of features, then perhaps holding either 1 or several things back to suprise us with once the game is launched. (maybe that is what they have already done?)

Like all, I just cant wait for this game!! I remember 6 years ago, while at work, waiting for GT4 to ship, it was agonising, then on release day, I bought the game, work took an age to finish, then typically I had to stay back and work overtime, as lawyers at the firm I worked for were closing a big deal, and I had to stay back till 6am to assist them, it was complete torture!! haha

When I eventually made it home, I did not sleep and played the game until I had to go to work again the sameday!! haha

Well remembered 👍 From the January 2010 CES Motortrend interview.

MT: What are some of the features your most excited about releasing to the public?

KY: With GT5, we're striving to redefine the racing game that we started with GT1. The game as a whole is completely new. But online functionality has to be at the top. We've worked so hard on it and we're hoping it's a hit.

MT: Will users be able to set up car clubs and racing leagues?

KY: Yes, they will. But I'm sorry but I can't elaborate much at this point

Here's the Qore video from Tuesday everone's been hyping over.

I totally agree 👍

Impose a media blackout for yourself and let the people who want info get the info...That way everybody wins!

You will have no one to blame but yourself if you choose to read news about GT5 and find that there is spoiler information inside.

*And by "you" I mean those who don't want to be spoiled.

Tell me you went on to own the company, with work effort like that! :)

Maybe when Polyphony Digital is about to turn up to a real life circuit to record it for the game the owners get the mops out

You mean Kaz gets treated like the Pope does? To be honest, I've only started to notice the supposed sterility or 'cleaner than clean' look since I played Prologue, might be due to HD ( more detail ) or the limited amount of tracks being played over and over again, which also seem smoother than before.
It's a bit how I imagined Switserland to be as a kid ( a clean(ers) Utopia ;)) before I actually went there and saw it was just another country.
I imagine that in GT5, with skidmarks, dust ( grass ), weather, day/night and much more tracks this would become hopefully largely irrelevant or at least not noticeable constantly, not that it bothers me playing Prologue as said before, real life tracks ( especially modern or modernised ones ) do tend to have this "look".

thanks a lot man.. watched the video 3 times..! :D

in the video she said, it takes 3 - 6 month to take the car together. thats crazy oO

and Steph290... its not to late.. didnt see it yet ;P

To put it plainly, it's basically a small table (desk) up against a sofa. I sit on the sofa, and my legs go under the table. The wheel is mounted to the table.

I don't know, that guy had some pretty similar attributes.

Ok I get it now. :)

I'm guessing this was meant for Metalmurphy, as he told you you were late in finding that video?

Has there been any information about how standard cars will perform in photomode? If I remember correctly, premium cars allow us to open doors and switch on lights etc.

I don't remember reading or hearing anything about that.

Standard cars are much more prudish I reckon, they take some persuasion.

Never heard of open doors. Lights will be on in the dark, I don't know if you can toggle them. You can toggle main beams on premiums, but I'm not sure how this will translate to photo-mode.

Still quite a bit we don't know about photomode. But there was a screenshot somewhere.
