People may get really mad at me for posting this in this thread, but I can't create a new thread. If this annoys you, please just ignore it and move along. I just wanted to ask people, now that we are in the final month after all these years of waiting, if you could go back to the day GT5 was announced and tell yourself one exciting piece of GT5 news that you know now, which you didnt know then, what would you tell yourself?

That it won't be around till late 2010, so stay away from GTPlanet, you'll just get addicted, and you'll get trapped in a dreaded thread about rewind and realise it never was or ever will be concluded.

Dude, your reply is huge!

That is nothing. There's a guy around here named Devedander who has practically written books in a single post!

Good: GT5 is real and it will release on 2nd November
Bad: 26 days left to release

The exciting thing I find is still lots more we dont know about this game yet or even having seen it in full finished form yet.

Sure more details will come in the remaining weeks but they certainly seem to want to release it with a suprise element.

i got a goal for you guys, reach 2000 pages before the release on November 2nd

First, page counts differ based on personal settings.

Second, that encourages spam.

Fixed ;)

When people start getting the game early around the 30th this thread will explode. I remember all the justin streams when mw2 got snavelled.

I had the game over a month early. I never leaked anything, but people always asked me how I got achievements for the game before it even came out.

i wish i could do the same for gt5, but im sure that wont happen because the game isnt going to be in stores MONTHS in advance. part of the reason i got mw2 was to show everyone how early the game was finished and produced. i find it a little unsettling when a game is finish and produced and shipped and received over a MONTH in advance.

I imagine we will be getting video reviews on all the main websites such as GameTrailers and IGN the week before release. Nothing to back that up but it just seems likely, and I suspect we will all go ape**** when we see the odd new track/car/feature shown :)

I don't know if this has been brought up before, but... Considering this launch has been five years in the making and Kaz being the perfectionist he is, I'm not expecting much of any flaws/glitches in the game itself, but what about the online community? I mean, there's gonna be a HELLUVA lot of people on the network in November, and this is far larger than prologue. Anyone have any thoughts about how it might all pan out? Anticipations, fears, etc?

There will be some flaws and glitches, every game has them so don't be dissapointed.

I can see myself avoiding the 'open' online section for a while after it's released. I'll concentrate on regular GT mode progression with the odd private room online race.

Yeah, I edited my post. I'm keeping my fingers crossed tho.

Good question, but I don't really know. I won't find out because I will do like I did in GT5P, and concentrate on the offline aspect for the first few months, and then go online when I am more familiar with the cars and physics, and have a better car collection. I am sure the GT Life will have plenty to occupy me for awhile.

I hope that the online won't have so much lag. The online gameplay on GT5P kinda sucked for me because the cars didnt run so smoothly. For example, I'm side by side with this guy and all of a sudden he's already done with the turn and I didnt even see him go through the turn! lol

GT5 is in schedule...

Some new surprise at the door?

For me It'd be that we love cars video(if all those cars actualli make it) or just knowing that there will be 1000.:) (apart from the release date of course.)

More than likely, they've polished the system that looks for the best connection as an online host. Those who you see lagging must have a horrible connection, cause Im with Time Warner, using a Netgear wireless router and my connection is smooth. It pains me to wait for a race only to be put in one like that. I say, if you have the money for a PS3, then get a decent internet service.

Kaz said that they dropped the code for GT5P's online system and built a completely new one. They even opened a studio next to PD's that's completely dedicated to the online portion of the game.

Wheres this info pulled from? Sounds awesome.

It was during last years TGS where several sites got to tour PD's studio. Kaz mentioned that they'd set up a separate studio to work solely on the online portion of the game.

Well that's good to hear.
