Giant mistake to put head tracking, karting, and 3d in this game. Release them when they technology is stable instead. I have struggled with this in school, I could keep making an assignment better forever but in the real world I have to turn in the best I can do at the moment to meet the deadline. If you still want to make it better then do another version down the road.
 
Maybe they managed to fit gtpsp cockpit view to standard cars ! D And made nice engine sounds ! etc.
 
Funny thing is...how did Gamestop get their GT5 copy for "Turismo Tuesday"? This is why I believe it's a screw-up on the Sony's production side more than PD's designing side. I honestly doubt that PD would throw a demo to Gamestop that contains the McLaren F1 pre-order and a demo course maker.

I think that's what we all want to believe, but honestly i think it's just down to either game bugs or manufacturing issues.

I can't play Prologue anymore, I just can't. It reminds me of what PD have done. They released Prologue to appease us :(
No, I'm dusting off GT4! :p

Maybe even GT3, for Special Stage Route11 sake.

You should buy a brand new GT5P.
PD has only shipped 4.95M GT5P and they love to see it pass 5M.:crazy:

Really? I'm betting that it's all Ben Collins' fault. Ben Collins jumped ship with his ill-advised autobiography, which has forced the BBC to find an alternative. If the BBC are rebranding the Stig, GT5's Stig-heavy content would be out-of-date before it even hit the shelves.

I'm kinda happy, dont have a PS3 yet but my GT5 is pre ordered, so it buys me some time, and who knows what they will be adding with the extra time...fingers crossed livery editor.

WHy would they be adding anything? Why is it that every time there is a delay people think it's so that they can add things? The delay is most likely due to a problem that needs to be fixed.
 
I"m hoping that possibly that they'll release alot more info in time. And that Spa might be revealed, and be the reason for the delay. I don't know. We'll have to wait and see.
 
You know, while I expected it to happen as soon as the rumblings started, I'm still amused that all of the "We deserve to get the game whenever and however we want it" people came crawling out of the woodworks again. Especially since we don't even know why the delay happened.

Exactly, people need to remember that the game has been rated by several ratings boards so far. What that means is that Sony has sent them a feature complete version of the game. In other words, if PD adds anything to the game after that then they would have to have it rated again, which isn't something that seems likely. This delay points more toward bugs needing to be cleaned up and not toward them trying to add additional content.

Btw, who will ever buy GT5 disc after so much delays. Looks like KY is facing issues since several years ago, when he started GT5...when was that 10 years ago? :)
Anyway, maybe he will give us the disc for free,... I mean when or if he launch it :)

delay seems purely business related... think about it what would get lots of money for sony at xmas? GT5 and GT5 bundles! Its sonys best shot to compete/beat M$ with their jumped up eye toy 'Kinect'

They can't estimate when all the bugs will be gone.

I'm just as upset about this delay as everyone else, but what makes it even worse is the typical lame excuse, and the fact that they don't have a date, again. It would make it a lot easier if they would give us the real reason, like, we are having issues with x or y feature and an expected date, at the least. Looks like we're back to all the "Soony" stuff again.

So having it on sale for a shorter amount of time before Christmas would allow the game to achieve more sales? How does that work?

I just cancelled my pre-order, and thrown GT5P in the garbage, I`m sick of being fooled over and over by Sony and this Kaz-guy. This is absolutely insane, they have no respect for us customers, and how they can get away with all their false advertising is beyond me. Goodbye to GT!

I just cancelled my pre-order, and thrown GT5P in the garbage, I`m sick of being fooled over and over by Sony and this Kaz-guy. This is absolutely insane, they have no respect for us customers, and how they can get away with all their false advertising is beyond me. Goodbye to GT!

My feeling is that this delay is about bugs preventing it from passing Sony's certification. If they can get it through certification then it'll be ready to go gold. That way Sony will be able to announce that it's gone gold along with the new date so people will know that this is the final date.
