The delay is probably because fo bugs just found in finishing up the game. Sadly, it would seem the bugs aren't ones that have a "quick fix" and that PD are having trouble fixing them. That's why it may take until the end of the month to get a new release date.


However, what Famine said is quite plossible too.. :sly:

I have now cancelled my copy of GT5 CE cause I can't take this anymore.

The wait of GT5 isn't good for me, it's worse than the worst drug.

Now I will try to forget, someone should start a therapy group:crazy:

Am I the only person here not negatively affected by the delay? I'm actually glad they're not rushing this masterpiece out onto the market. Think about it; this can only mean the final product will be yet more mind-blowing, and I, for one, can't wait. Roll on the holiday season! ;)

A lot of people will do the same. I was the first who bought GT5 Proloque in Serbia...now I will go back to iRacing, or GTL, or rFactor, or...anything what is working, without delays...or THIS DELAY IS JUST ANOTHER MARKETING of KY and Sony... :)

KY and Sony will give us for free, dont worry, even then we should think twice,...maybe to accept in 2025 or something :)

I'm sorry that you've allowed yourself to deny the luxury of the most epic, feature packed driving simulator ever to grace the Earth. It would sure suck to be you right now. :rolleyes:

I totally agree with you. The game has had so much packed into it that it's bound to be a nightmare to find that one bit of coding that causes (for example) the track to disappear at certain points. I'm guessing that's what is causing the delay, the debugging process through up too many bugs for it to be released in time a la LittleBigPlanet 2. Either that or there has been some distribution problems.

Whatever it is, it has done nothing but put a negative light on Sony/PD.

Me? I'm not too bothered either way. Sure, I'm as disappointed as much as the next guy, but I have other games to play. My G27 isn't being shipped until 1st December either so I'll not have to readjust myself to using a wheel after using a pad for a month.

iam actualy drunk and on painkillers now after reading these news.
 
I'm guessing the delay will be an extra week-the 12th November would be a good date to release GT5 as theres no high profile games out that week. Hot Pursuit and Assassins Creed is out 19th November so thats a bit cluttered.

I will not go as far as you did, but it sure would feel good to do it...at least until this thing ships.

yeah.. okey for nascar but kart and 3d?! how many people owns a 3d tv? i just bought my 42 lcd so iam not gonna buy a new for a couple of years. and about the kart thing, how funny is it to drive a small car in 60km/h?

Why are you assuming these things without evidence? The most likely reason this was delayed further was due to manufacturing issues or bugs in the game. People need to calm down, and take a deeper look into things first.

but if they had skiped 3d and kart it would probably gotten finnished earlier. and then probably had a real release date by now.
