This is why i love the game, my goal is not to get the best lap times as most people here ( i guess).

I want to be able to see if i can handle the car with full on 100% confidence which I cant do in RL.

Hopefully this game teaches me a lot, i know will learn about tunning a lot too.

Yea man GT will help you in a lot of ways , but driving In real life is another story. You will have a great time In GT5 trust me i played the GT5 demo and the physics are very good. 👍 You will learn about about many things man.

Here is me playing the GT5 demo with a GT500 car, Its my favorite car in the demo. 👍 Gives you a different feeling than any thing GT5P has to offer.

My favorites were the GT500 GT-R and the SLS AMG!

This happens in all industries to an extend, it's up to the journalist or reviewer to decide whether that should influence their writings.
I've read a story a few years ago in Car Magazine where one of their journalists told he was invited once for a launch event of a new Lotus, he talked to one of the Lotus chiefs casually and mentioned he owned a classic Elan and due to the fact he lived in the US he couldn't find certain parts at that time.
When he got back home a few days later a package had arrived with those brand new Elan parts with no message attached.
Later that week the magazine or paper he was then working for published his highly critical review of that new Lotus ( doing his job honestly as that was his opinion ) when a few days later a bill for those parts landed on his doormat.
Could be coincidental as it could be intended all along ( and can't be proven either way ), and if a 'bribe', a very subtle and personal one but he did wonder in that article what would have happened if that review was full of praise.......

Some people think we live only in a world of puppy dogs and rainbows.there is a shady side to all this..

Oh gees, Ben Collins comments stopped being funny about 4 days ago and even then they wernt that amusing.

I'm not sure what part of his delaying the game was supposed to be funny?

The same place as the member with the Report button.

Don't be lulled into the false belief that you can see everything going on at GTP. On that note, I see you've opted to "push it". Pick which account you'd like to keep and let me know the alternatives you don't want to. Failing this I'll default to removing the duplicates and preserving the original (if you're lucky).

what a lucky man i am. Oh thank you so much mr big bad sheriff. Take ur site jobsworth, and stick it. It ain't interesting now that there's a delay now anyway. Im off. Take care u mug. . . Regards, the challenger. F.u.

I still think somebody at PD deleted the hard drive. PD is frantically re-making the game from scratch. Latest version is to have 1 premium car and half a standard car, and a bicycle instead of a kart. Track is a field with 2 bales of hay. Weather is a bucket of water and some snow in the corner. Game will be given to the chilen miners first in a cunning publicity ploy by Sony. :)

I must remember never to dance near a guy like this at a rave if it's raining.

I get that people are bored, but the jokes are just as boring. I think the game will be out by Black Friday, I assume it will be, since that is one of the biggest if not the biggest shopping days of the year. If not, I'm assuming it's not going past x-mas. Just an educated guess. Anyway, any new cars in these demos shown at Taiwan?

I have to be brutally honest and agree with him on that part. But on the other hand it's not really GTP's fault. Also I was thinking of buying the Siggy edition but now PD and/or Sony miss out on my $300. Tough titties! :)

Really, who cares about Forza or Halo or the guy involved with those games. Were here for GT5 right? So lets hear some things about GT5. Anyone expecting to hear new info, maybe at SEMA? That's right around the corner is it not? Maybe we'll see something there. Any new videos besides the one's on here from Taiwan?

No. If there were new videos, they'd get posted. The only thing to chat about is vaguely related stuff, so unless you have something more interesting to say, let it be...

One of the problems there is that most game reviewers aren't sim fans. So they'll let things slide that might annoy people that are fans of the genre. The other problem is that reviewers need to review games quickly. So they get a game two weeks in advance and need to play it quickly to get their review ready. This of course results in them not seeing a lot of bugs because they aren't looking for them.

But that's just one of the many reasons why you should really only look to reviews when you're really unsure about a game (like a new IP from a developer that you really don't know). And even then you can avoid them if you're willing to rent the game to form your only opinion of it.

I respect your opinion but sorry I dont see ANY excuse for a reviewer NOT to even mention such bugs that were cleary evident to gamers after only a day or twos game playing. Please do not try to make excuses for people in such positions who if anything should be fully professional as thats what they are paid to do. Also regards F1 2010 many people that bought the game also are not actual hardcore sim fans but just gamers that like racing games or F1.

It came across to me as a shoddy in places, poorly tested release which went out to meet a deadline. Quite frankly an embarsement to not only Codemasters but ALL the leading magazines or indeed internet reviews that painted a picture of a great F1 game completely ignoring the issues it had. Yes many things are indeed good about it but that doesnt excuse very noticable flaws.
I can understand how it happens as reviewers are perhaps expecting some issues in review copies to be patched but if a review is not reviewing a proper retail version then it should at least state such and at least point out issues that were noticed during review.

Im old enough as an adult not to be swayed so easily by media reviews and much prefer to base my own opinion to purchase a game based on videos, images and comments from others.

same here

edit:

only 134 pages to go ! We can do it ! (with delay it's obvious ;( )
Maybe they delayed GT5 so that this thread could reach 2000 pages.
Kaz on release day: "We could release it any time, except we wanted to make sure they got 2000 pages. Oh, and too much time was spent ironing the kinks out of a complex system"

We could release it any time, except we wanted people to be angry.
We could release it any time, except we wanted to be mean bastards.
We could release it any time, except I wanted to take part in 24H race.
We could release it any time, except we wanted to make sure that our translator-san will give a **** this time ;)

Maybe it's just me but I don't get this obsession to reach 2000 pages before GT5 releases, sure it's symbolic of the time it took and the enthusiasm displayed around here but still.
I thought it was the quality that mattered, not the quantity, and it's not exactly that hard to reach now is it?
A few extremely large pictures, a question about Porsche being included prompting several responses or mentioning a certain GT5 competitor are all what is needed.......
