You'd might as well laugh at Move and the Wii-mote as well if that's the case.

Obviously you haven't tried Move yet ... he he he.

Try Tumble demo to see what i mean.

PSEye has been out for several years now :)

Oh.and CNN...when a NEW Halo game is about to launch.popular mechanics magazine for forza1 launch AND CHE,a.k.a Chespace,a.k.a Che Chou ,former T10 community manager, busted for offering I believe,CNET,to warp an online poll results to make forza3 the winner.gt5 was in the poll also.

How about getting your facts straight? He didn't offer CNET anything (in fact, it wasn't even CNET, I don't remember what site it was....but I'm at least 62% certain it wasn't CNET) what he did do was offer the community (read: those who were playing Forza 3 at the time) a unicorn car to vote for Forza. That's what got the poll taken down.

Sounds like an opinion being stated as a fact to me. Don't assume what you don't know and/or cannot prove.

And miss some of the biggest shopping days of the year? You're right that those days are meant for people to get stuff for cheaper, but people don't only buy what's 50% off. They also buy things to go with their purchase. It helps even more when a game like GT5, one of the PS3's major titles is the "hot item." It would make no difference to us, we're all most likely going to pick it up on release. But to Sony, that's even more sales then say a December release.

Yup, push some 3D-TVs, PS3s, Wheels, home cinema kits etc. etc. all because it'll give the "best experience" with a particular game that just happens to have launched and is "rumoured" to be the ****...

Well, it worked for me and the game isn't even out yet. :dopey:

Not stated as fact, thus the word "Obviously", merely a conclusion i arrived at.

What about any of that was a lie, exactly? Do you see GT5 anywhere? No, you do not.

Boastful? Absolutely, depending on how you perceived it (which around here anything spiteful said toward GT results in instant damnation). I'm not even going to bother with replying to rest because it's a dead horse. Oh, how about lying in front of a live crowd. Twice...and, no, I'm not talking about Turn 10 either.

Oh, oops.

The fact of the matter is that all companys are full of crap. They will feed you all sorts of candy just to get you to buy their product no matter if its good or not.

Such is the world we live in.. T10 and PD are all about money.. if money werent a factor at all tho one thing I think is that T10 would be none existent while PD would be a small group of 2 people making a game. (Kaz and his Translator) :D

Oh gees, Ben Collins comments stopped being funny about 4 days ago and even then they wernt that amusing.

Regards comments about reviews and the industry.
Its obvious you dont bite the hand that feeds you, so your not going to do something that effects the advertising income you get from a particular studio or brand.

I made a point elsewhere and heres one example of how stitched up most online and magazines are. Read reviews for F1 2010 and see how many refer to the many bugs and issues the game has. Complete sham and proof if anthing that most reviewers will not speak the truth to be out of term or actually properly playtest the games they review.

Credit though to "Virtual R" as their review of the game seemed spot on.

Oh, and the statement "we can release anytime", that should count as another lie. Bah humbug!

One of the problems there is that most game reviewers aren't sim fans. So they'll let things slide that might annoy people that are fans of the genre. The other problem is that reviewers need to review games quickly. So they get a game two weeks in advance and need to play it quickly to get their review ready. This of course results in them not seeing a lot of bugs because they aren't looking for them.

But that's just one of the many reasons why you should really only look to reviews when you're really unsure about a game (like a new IP from a developer that you really don't know). And even then you can avoid them if you're willing to rent the game to form your only opinion of it.

Just played the GT5 Demo @ my Gamestop I work at. I know what I'm going to be doing the days I have work!

Whats up my Jersey friend, Its good right I play also at Game Stop. I dont work there but because i'm there all the time playing some people think i do. How did you like it?

Don't be surprised of bribes in the industry. It's a common thing done in the industry.
That may be, but you damn well better have proof before you go around accusing companies of doing so. This is country is so sue-happy, you present a claim like that without evidence & you'll find a lawsuit for slandering.

Look at news sites like CNN proclaiming Microsoft's Kinect as the second coming, when clearly it's crap from the numerous user videos on youtube.
WTF would CNN know about video game devices? And since when is YouTube a reliable source?

There's numerous videos of GT5:P to make it look glitched & bugged. Doesn't make it true.
I wouldn't be surprised of Turn 10 trying to take away some of the fire from GT5. Their release date of FUC on Oct. 29th is hardly coincidence with GT5's former release date.
Except it would be Microsoft, not Turn10. And they're trying to steal sales through the FUC. Doesn't mean they'll go as far as to bribe reviewers.

FYI people, Turn10 does not run its own promotions or marketing.

Che didn't offer anything, nor was there any prize for the poll. Che was also let go earlier this year for his poor relationship with the community & that was one of the things that led to his already spiraling downfall.

You're obviously out of the loop when it comes to these things, so it's probably best you don't post about them. I'm also waiting for your evidence that leads you to believe T10 (in reality, MS) is bribing IGN to talk poorly about GT5.

I liked it a lot. The only thing I didn't like was the shadows in the cars, but it's an old build so I wasn't expecting perfection.

WTF? did i enter wrongly here? isn't this the GT5 thread? oh sorry, it's now a kinect one...my bad.

OK guys I know you think it is just sloppy updating but it is sooooo weird that even now that the EU pages on the GT site have had the launch date removed and just say not long till, the delay news item is still not in the news section. It is in the news section for all Asia, America and Canada but not for EU. Now I know that Microsoft have more than one disc production centre (I think most of the EU used to be covered from Ireland, not show now) so does Sony only have one site or do you think they may have an EU site too?

Lots of sites, producing lots of blu-rays for lots or companies.

The General Discussion Thread has ebbs & flows, if you want it to move in a different direction, you need to contribute something interesting that will get people moving to another topic. :)

I think to one degree or another MS, Sony and Nintendo keep the gaming press "sweet".(And software publishers)

I just think MS is the most blatant. Eg: Mattrick giving away a 360 slim to every member of the audience at the E3 press conference and the Halo 3 review press kit worth $800.

Now I wouldn't call these direct bribes, more just a nudge, nudge wink, wink or you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours.

I wonder how "nice" GT5's press kit will be? Maybe that is reason for the delay...........gotta add hundreds of $$$ of goodies!;)

Whats with the endless Forza bashing again? Honestly, I see so much unnecessary hate towards the GAME for Dan Greenawalt's comments. It wasn't Microsoft that said those things and it wasn't Turn 10, it was Dan. Seriously, someone always feels the need to find some damn scape goat. If it isn't blaming Kaz for something he isn't in charge of, its blaming the entire Microsoft company for what one dev said. Grow the hell up, people.

I recently (3 weeks ago) got an xbox and F3, and I think the game is actually a lot of fun - well made, fun, realistic feeling, good range of motors. The only downside is the career structure, but even that isn't that bad.

I'm now completely baffled by all of the Forza bashing i've read on these forums over the years.

If you find it good that's all that matters mate.
At the moment on this gens consoles there is nothing better.

This happens in all industries to an extend, it's up to the journalist or reviewer to decide whether that should influence their writings.
I've read a story a few years ago in Car Magazine where one of their journalists told he was invited once for a launch event of a new Lotus, he talked to one of the Lotus chiefs casually and mentioned he owned a classic Elan and due to the fact he lived in the US he couldn't find certain parts at that time.
When he got back home a few days later a package had arrived with those brand new Elan parts with no message attached.
Later that week the magazine or paper he was then working for published his highly critical review of that new Lotus ( doing his job honestly as that was his opinion ) when a few days later a bill for those parts landed on his doormat.
Could be coincidental as it could be intended all along ( and can't be proven either way ), and if a 'bribe', a very subtle and personal one but he did wonder in that article what would have happened if that review was full of praise.......

Didn't the guys at the recent Dutch showing mention some goody bags.
Did they say what was inside.

Any word on what will happen with GameStop's 'Turismo Tuesdays' since there will now be a lot more of them?

*(them being Tuesdays, meaning they will need more exclusive content to show us.)

Could be that Gamestop will put it on hold until PD anounces a new release date at the end of the month.
