Just wonder if Gamestop was under any kind of embargo & may not be able to release any new info until a new date is fixed.

In a related note, I wonder if there is game reviews on hold, do to a similar embargo.

I hope they don't. Hey, maybe a lap in a new car on a new track. Now thats worth a few extra tuesdays :dopey:
 
Depends on what they were going to release. I mean, if 7 days out would have been a complete car list or something, then I would assume they can't show that just yet. What might happen is an extension of the "Turismo Tuesday".

Some of you really need to attend a business class of some sort, good God. Of course they're attempting to steal some of the fire away from GT5. They're called 'business and marketing tactics'. With the recent delay coming from out of nowhere, they're going to do just that... both with those who have never purchased Forza 3 (but will now considering what's being included) as well as those who already own the game, but would like the additional content.

Any word on what will happen with GameStop's 'Turismo Tuesdays' since there will now be a lot more of them?

*(them being Tuesdays, meaning they will need more exclusive content to show us.)

I do hope they continue, since GS definitely seems to have access to things we haven't yet seen. They might have even had one of the review copies, and hopefully whatever agreement may be in place between them and Sony/PD that allows the posting of new info on certain dates isn't pushed back to match up with this delay. Give us a few more teasers!

As far as I know he was just transferred to the new Halo team in a different role, this was because his poor relationship with the community? So you could say he got a promotion out of his downfall.
 
Well, the Turismo Tuesdays site is still up and working and nothing on it has changed...except they removed the course maker video.

I recently (3 weeks ago) got an xbox and F3, and I think the game is actually a lot of fun - well made, fun, realistic feeling, good range of motors. The only downside is the career structure, but even that isn't that bad.

I'm now completely baffled by all of the Forza bashing i've read on these forums over the years.

I agree. When it came out my friend got it and I played it like crazy. I got to about 35% completion until I came home one day and he deleted my save for no reason. The only thing that kept me from starting over is that in the beginning it kind of uses the same tracks over and over until you advance a little into it but it is still very fun.
 
Hrm, I just noticed something involving Photomode; anybody notice that we haven't had any images at anything other than person-height for the locations? Not talking about the actual tracks; we get plenty of aerial shots of La Sarthe and things like that, but places like the Red Bull Hangar only seem to have lower angles. Probably tied into the game becoming a walking simulator... I really hope we're still able to move the camera up high if we so desire...

All I will say is that that sucks for that community. He was worthless & did not help Forza or Turn 10's name when the major fanbase was expressing their disappointment in FM3.

Indeed but atleast with the new Halo team he isn't a community manager or even related to the community. Goes to show holding a job often isn't related to a good performance.
 
Really, who cares about Forza or Halo or the guy involved with those games. Were here for GT5 right? So lets hear some things about GT5. Anyone expecting to hear new info, maybe at SEMA? That's right around the corner is it not? Maybe we'll see something there. Any new videos besides the one's on here from Taiwan?
 
Isn't SEMA around the 2nd? I thought GT5 was "coincidentally" scheduled to be released around SEMA weekend.

EDIT: SEMA does indeed start on the 2nd. Too bad GT5 can't come out to greet it.
 
Guys, I wish I would have rewound the DVR and recorded it on my camera but I didn't. Damn it.... Anyway I was watching Sponge Bob cartoon today (I know not very manly:)) with my 2yr old daughter, and I don't know if anyone in here knows what Chuckey Cheese's is but it is a child pizza restaurant that has video games and television. Anyway in the background there was a machine showing the Kart racing around the oval track we first saw it on. I can't understand why they put that in there because I've never heard of a ps3 at that restaurant.
Next time I will see it I will try to record it.

Very interesting. There aren't any demos in the Best Buys or Gamestops here but we do have a Chuckey Cheese's. Maybe I should pop in real quick and see what's up. That place is creepy though.

I just want a sneak-peek of Eau Rouge... I hope Spa makes game, especially since there are 100 rumored tracks now.

I wouldn't doubt it. That rat is pure evil. And the pizza is TERRIBLE.

Well, you might have the basics down, but I wouldn't apply any sim to suddenly being as good in it in real life.

i can drive the F2007 on Prologue with a wheel, but I highly doubt that suddenly means I can take on Spa.

well arent the physics improved for gt5 to be close as being realistic?

Having the fortitude to push a car to it's limits in real life is quite a bit more than pushing it to it's limits in a video game. There is a certain 'I could easily die' aspect about driving fast in real life.
 
Yup, sims can never match the real thing. Real life has danger and you can't always go full throttle. A video game has a restart button. Big difference, though if anything GT can teach you the basics of driving and help you become a better driver on and off the track.

for example: Counter steering inrl so you wont spin out

GT5 can help with all aspects of driving, but just don't suddenly expect to be a master at driving just because you get good lap times in the game.

And pretty sure hydroplaning will be in the game considering rain will be put into the mix.

I think it could help train you yes. In the same way one would take combat training or martial arts in 'removed-from-reality' types of environments. The idea is to prepare you for what would happen if a real situation were to arise. In the case of driving, I'd say it would definitely improve your reflexes and fundamental skill.
 
This is why i love the game, my goal is not to get the best lap times as most people here ( i guess).

I want to be able to see if i can handle the car with full on 100% confidence which I cant do in RL.

Hopefully this game teaches me a lot, i know will learn about tunning a lot too.

Hmm well, get confidence in the game then try it out in real life. Just remember, though in real life you'll be depending on your instincts more.
