woah, when is that from?

it was from a press event in Japan back in 2007

oh, I haven't been into GT5 until like 2 weeks ago. Doesn't that confirm livery editor, plate editor. Race builder?

It was for GTHD classic which used hi-res GT4 assets.
I doubt we will get all that stuff.

people are pessimistic and never believe what PD says :)

Track days are useful, however would you use skills learned here in racing, for fun or for improving everyday road skills ?.

Why do people doubt the things in GTHD, will come to GT5? Otherwise, in terms of features, GTHD owns GT5. Don't let that happen PD, give GTHD features aswell as GT5!

GTHD used, like i said, hi-res GT4 assets (plus some new cars which were modeled on the same level), something like a livery editor is for sure a lot easier to do with GT4s modeling and textures. Also, implementing these features would have been easier with the base structure from GT4. Thats why i dont take this stuff as confirmed for GT5.

That picture from TGS 2006

It's already on the news page.

I wish it had in game that motion blur effect from the camera recording... looks so much faster and better.. but no it must be razor sharp... :ouch:

In real life i don't experience motion blur when driving my car. Albeit the fastest I've ever driven is around 150km, but i could still make out my surroundings pretty clearly.

Well I don't wanna talk about motion blur again , I always got attacked :nervous:.

But next time when you drive your car at 150 km/h look out on the asphalt the plants next you or what else. You will see the things are blury and not razor sharp textures that repeating every few yards :sly: I dont talk about things that far away from you. I talk about things that you pass close or look at gras you wont notice every single detail like in GT5 you will see just some blury green . It's definitely blury. Ever rode the subway ? Looked on the tunnelwall? Was it blury or razor sharp :sly:. People always get me wrong... some little motion blur excist in reallife from things that moving too fast that your eyes can't focus on them anymore. Thats all :)

Have you ever looked left or right in GT? Have fun focusing on small objects.

True, but when we do drive, objects in our periphery pass at the speed at which we are travelling. As we don't focus on these objects the sensation of speed is amplified. Its a sensation you just cant replicate. Motion blur makes all the difference on screen, NFS shift being a great example. If PD did their own interpretation it would be Wow!! Its also the only way to feel like you're going fast without actually going faster.

When I look in GT to left and right I just can see some sharp gras textures that repeat every few yards same with the asphalt ... When I drive a real car looking out to the gras at 100 km/h I can just see some blury green and not every single blade of grass... :ouch: I guess you never did that.... next time remind that and do it... and you will see I was right ;)

Here please watch this. They using HD cams... So look at the asphalt you see a razor sharp asphalt with repeating textures every few yards? Or just some blury grey? Exactly just some blury grey....

Yea i understand what you been by motion blur now, but i rarely stare at the pavement when I'm driving. I've played shift, and the motion blur was annoying it felt like i was going mach speed and I was only in third gear. Maybe we'll get this along with skidmarks in gt6?

I agree , motion blur like NFS Shift is annoying and unreal. But I mean a different blur. Just like what I shown in my previous posts... I'm lucky you admited it...

Toyota need to make a production version of the FT-86. nice trailer.

they are making one.

There's a new video about the Gran Turismo awards 2009 on the playstation store.

Note the front mount intercooler - guess this one is turbo'ed :)

Nice car model, exceptional rims. The smoke in the trailer looked really good.

The cars look great okay, i know being nit picky is bad ,okay no skid marks i forgive that, but come one 500k for each car and yet they cannot make at least a decent textures for the trees and spectators. i'm not asking for physics for all of this but at least make it look 3D or at least not looking like cardboard cut outs use for target practice in shooting. Its just a constructive criticism. i know it is a racing game and we don't give importance to this thing but at least make them look decent.

you're really starting to get annoying yoga.
