Happy Gran turismo day !!!!

No anuncements thus far on the GT japansese web page,I'll keep the information flowing guys.

keep up we will have a real release day soon dont dispair guys,just a bit more :) !!!

My plan is to do the "fix" while I save up for a new one. I too am having a hard time thinking I can let the 60GB unit go. I saw a BC 80GB available at Gamestop for $269, but I don't know whether software BC is worth saving $30 and losing a new full warranty.

I have a friend that had a 80GB, but the BC software on it did not work as well as the 60GB BC hardware. It was ok with slower games, but once that had a lot of action, or 60fps like GT, it seemed slowed down.

Poor girls. They have to put on those fakie smiles for hours while a bunch of testosterone snaps their pictures ad nauseum. Oh well, girls sell. Too bad there's not a product to be sold.

Seth, you are full of assumptions. People like me? I don't have a fascination with the delay. I merely noticed that things you were saying were false. You can not ignore fact. Let us start with your first statement, shall we?

"You can't rush PD and Sony to get the game out, there's a good reason for the delay, in my opinion it's not even a delay cus the game never even came out..."

This statement doesn't make sense. You acknowledge a delay, but words later you're on to how it isn't a delay. You also give a nonsensical reason as to why. Then in a later post you write the following:

"...but GT5 to me isn't delayed, I didn't expect it here on the 2nd of November..."

You are talking about two very different things in this statement. You confuse fact with your expectations. The fact is this, the game is delayed. This is why I quoted Taku Imasaki the Producer of GT5 to the SCEA. His words are below:

"We can confirm that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available this November 2nd, but the game’s release will be coming this holiday season. We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay..."

Now, I can understand that your expectations for the game have not been tempered. A delay is fact even if you argue to the contrary. The way you use words is powerful and their meaning relevant. It would serve you well in numerous conversations with folks to use these terms appropriately. That is all.

It was called a delay right? So when I use the word they used I'm wrong for saying it? Not quite buddy. You say what I state is false, yet what you state is supposedly true? I'm not concerned with all this gibberish you throw out there. You ARE just like a lot of people on here, spewing out crap about the release date. It aint a release date if it aint released, now is it? You get off on arguing? Don't sit there and lecture me on what I can and can't use in terms of words. I'd do well to speak whatever it is that's on my mind. That's the rules I go by. No one can tell me or you any different. I didn't jump on you, I said it's pointless to kick yell scream and holler or cry foul at PD or Sony if things are beyond their control. What it is here, is the lack of patience. How can you be waiting for 5 years for the game, then get pissed because it isn't here on the 2nd? So what? You've had to wait for it already, you might as well wait some more. Instead of realising what I'm saying and seeing as 'not delayed, just merely not here yet' you see the negative side of things then say it's me looking negatively. That's wrong on your part for assuming how someone views things and feels. Don't judge someone because of the things they feel about the release date that wasn't. I DON'T THINK it's a big deal, obviously you do. Have fun with that though, see how far whining gets you. :sly:
 
Another day, another dissapointing lack of a release date. I'm betting the second Friday of December for the UK so it'll take a lot to dissapoint me again

This works for you Seth, and I don't argue it. But some people feel the fact they've had to wait 5 years and still don't have something is reason enough to not have to wait longer. I generally agree with that view. I don't subscribe to the idea that because I've waited a long time, I shouldn't mind waiting even longer. But like you said, it's opinions.

Don't judge someone because of the things they feel about the release date that wasn't.

You don't have to hope. It IS old. I never trusted CVG and never will, theyr'e just a damn joke.
 
No matter how old that interview is, I think we still shouldn't expect GT5 this year, just for your own sake.
