God of War III: announced gold Feb 25 / release March 16 (18 days)
Fallout: New Vegas: announced gold Oct 4 / release October 19 (15 days)
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood: announced gold Oct 28 / release Nov 16 (18 days)
GTA IV: announced gold April 18 / release April 29 (11 days)
GT5: announced gold Nov 3 / ???

If Sony REALLY wants it out in time for Black Friday it's definitely achievable. It all depends on their marketing strategy.

Surely their marketing monster is salivating at the mouth with Kevin Butler holding the leash. It will have been ready for ages and now they just need to let it go.

I don't think that means anything. Anyways they could be printing them to hold and release at the end of next month. what i really wanna hear from sony is the release date.
 
Hello guys,any news today (exept we are gold :D) they announce any release date or something?
 
There is just one problem with a early December launch: Wow:Cataclysm.
GT5 wouldn't be the first game to fail during the launch period thanks to Wow. They better release it a week earlier!

Think some people are still dreaming.

Although I believe to this date is popping up more and more and seems realistic with the current gone gold.

We really should expect a real official announcement of Sony "any time now" or "soon", but we have had bad experiences with this before.

Where did you get this list from? Or if you just compiled it from knowing the dates

The 23rd in this case is looking do-able, and I wouldn't see why not, but do you think they would get it out that early like that? It would be a treat to the fans, that's for sure.

Can't wait for official release date! After Kaz sad, that game gone gold, it's so damn pain to sit all day long on news sites for release date announcement!

It even featured the display that PD developed for Nissan to use in the GT-R... working exactly like it does in the GT-R.

Okay, I understand what you mean now. I thought you were referring to the Production GT-R, not the actual concept car with which it was based.

Sooo... the average is 15-16 days so we're assuming GT5 will be out in November 18 :drool: ?!?!?!?

I don't know what exactly "Gold" means here so I think the game is finalized already so they can't change anything which means they're producing the discs and will be ready for shipping!!

Woohoo! 2010 is gonna be the best gaming year evar!!
 
Yeah, thats the only car in GT5P that doesn't have a interior and thats the reason. Nothing to do with the standard/premo business.

I just googled a few recent/big games with "gone gold". Like I said, Sony SHOULD want to get it out ASAP and take advantage of Black Friday and as many holiday shopping weeks as possible to maximize sales (of the game and the PS3). If they announce a date this week and start the marketing campaign immediately it should be fine for late November launch but I'm being optimistic.

In any case, mid-December at the latest. And WoW won't hurt it as much as Black Ops would have if it'd came out yesterday.
