Well, you can stay in impatient uncertainty if that's your cup of tea. I'm not losing any sleep knowing the game has gone gold.
 
Fireworks at a distance does not make it less realistic.

Maybe some Italians can confirm/correct this. But, for the two weeks I was in Italy, it seems like I saw fireworks every other night. Sometimes, off in the distance just like that.

Yep I can confirm that!we use fireworks almost every occasion like marriage,private party....

But we know the dates coming 98% likely tonight. Soon as I heard it's gone gold, everything became right again in the world.

But I'm so skeptical that it even WENT gold. Kaz just said it out of the blue, I'm not sure that he was really telling the truth, given the past records of things being miss communicated, and maybe to just get them temporarily off his back while he was trying to make his decision. Why did the game get delayed half a month? To finish up on a few more things? I just don't see it being completely finished at this point and to his perfect standards..

Mod nation racers has fireworks around the track and kaz said he liked that game or maybe he just liked them so put them in .Or it could be a message referring to Nov 5th or Dec 31st.

Wife and I stopped by the new location in San Fran last summer. They were so nice. Stopped what they were doing and gave us a tour for over an hour. Talked to the wife about the women racers they have working for them.

With my calculations, These are the most likely possibilities for GT5 to release:

USA:
22nd November - 40% Possible.
29th November - 60% Possible.

UK:
26th November - 50% Possible.
3rd December 50% Possible.

Anything after those dates is 100% possible.

Yeah I've heard the guys in Japan are super nice too. I'd love to visit, but it's quite expensive to travel, haha. I believe both of Icihi's daughters race for him, but I'm not sure

I know this is going to get eaten alive here, but I figured it's a story to pass the time.

So, anyways...

I ran into a guy I formerly worked with who isn't huge into racing, but enjoys it. We used to briefly talk about GT5 here and there over the past year and a half. Well, I saw him today and he told me he got the call to pick up GT5. I told him he's an idiot and that the game just first went gold this week, and that they are printing copies as we speak (like everyone knows already). He was convinced otherwise, saying that the shop he ordered it from had limited quantities of an early release copy and he had to pay $75 for it instead of $60. Sounds like complete BS, right? Well, at that point, I told him I'd give him $100 for it (knowing I could turn around and sell it for way more if it were true). He's told me he would, but didn't want to because he just got it and wants to play it more without waiting for it to officially release. At this point, I start quizzing him about what's in it and what his favorite things about it were...stuff, that he wouldn't even know (like he didn't even know NASCAR or rally were in it), but that he tried some of that out in the timeframe he tried it.

Who knows, I know he has to be BS'ing, but the teeniest tiniest fraction of me said..."What if". PD has done stranger things.

Please don't flame me, I just thought I'd share that and I'll find out what the scoop is on his story (he probably bought Prologue, but that doesn't have NASCAR or rally). I've been on GTPlanet about 10 times daily for the past year, so I know what's up with all the current info and I know this can't be possible, but like I said..."WHAT IF"

You mean 23rd and 30th? the 22nd and 29th are Mondays. We usually get games on Tuesdays.

How I calculated/Estimate this:

GT5 Delay was Announced on 12/10/10
They missed the production date by 3 days.
Give or take 3 days from the delay, we have 9/10/10 to 15/10/10.

So 9/10/10 was the earliest possible deadline for PD to submit the gold copy.
So 15/10/10 was the latest possible deadline for PD to submit the gold copy.

The Expected Release date was 2/11/10.
This means that they planned to finish stamping and ship in between 19-24 days.

Stamping was announced on the 2/11/10, and lets assume stamping will last until 5/11/10.

19 days from then gives us 21/11/10
24 days from then gives us 29/11/10

If we round these up to the next Tuesday for the US, and the next Friday for the UK we get the earliest possible dates:

US 23/11/10 - Notice that this date is exactly 3 weeks later than expected, which was speculated amongst many.
UK 26/11/10 - Notice that this date is exactly 3 weeks later than expected, which was speculated amongst many.

as a fail safe, give them an extra week.

US 30/11/10 - Corresponds to the Sony Style date.
UK 3/12/10

There is a lot of estimating and assuming, but based on the information we have at this point, this is the best we can hope for.

Usually I'd say "get a life and move on, just wait till they tell you" but right now I'm the one staring at my screen in the middle of the night waiting for some pathetic news.

I must say, I've been watching the UEFA cup (European soccer club cup), I find it very odd there are PS3 but no GT5 adverts at this late date. It is very suspicious they would not advertise in their biggest market through what is probably the biggest venue in Europe.
