How detailed will the course maker be exactly?
I'm hoping something close to Bobs Track Builder for rFactor, only a little simpler to use though. http://www.bobstrackbuilder.net/
The course maker will not allow you to design a course from scratch, rather you tell it what type of terrain how twisty and either a closed course or a special stage and then it will generate the course.

If they want make money @christmas, the game MUST release, at latest, 1 week, better 2 weeks, before christmas. I don´t think that most parents (or who ever) is buying the present 1 day before christmas...

If it did come out on the 23rd i'm unsure if i'd even get hold of it on release day. They might as well just release it a week later.

Ditto and ditto but a lot of non-geek mum's will want the Christmas shopping done and dusted a couple of weeks before but more importantly it would be a nightmare trying to deliver the games by post that close to Christmas.
On another note doesn't Kinnect launch in the US today? Maybe Sony will piss on their chips and announce the new GT5 release date today? 💡
I hope it won't be 23rd. Where I live the most important part of christmas is supper on christmas eve. Most people go to their families on 24th, so do I, and if GT will be here at 23rd I will have only time to install it, put it in B-spec mode and play remotely for at least 4 days. Thats not the perfect way to start your adventure in GT world.
the 23rd of December is crap. I ordered it online. It won't make it by Christmas. I didn't pay for fast shipping. I'd like it by Christmas and I figured, when I ordered it, with it shipping 2 months prior to Christmas, I was in the clear. GT5 being 3 days late to production shouldn't delay it by 49 days.
What ever happened to the old fashion way of getting up and going to the shops? It seems half the games sold these days are delivered. I'll never order anything so commonly available via mail.

+1, it's not on that we can only get it from Amazon or Play.com. I'd rather go out to my local games shop and buy it there, but at least with Amazon there is the chance of getting it one or two days early.
