I was happy when I joined, then mad after the delay, the pain went away for about 2 days and I posted a bunch of mr freeze videos, now i'm mad again.

Let's kick some ice!
 
Swerv is at SEMA and got to meet Kaz and try the game. He mentioned there are 70 total circuits and that includes variations.

Hmmm, I hope he's wrong because I think a lot of people were hoping for 70 unique tracks with upwards of 150 total variations.
 
It will be close to 150 variations if you count reverse.
 
I've always believed they meant 70 tracks and that includes variations. I think a lot of people will be in for a surprise. Remember the "over 20 tracks!" claim we heard for a long time? It'll be like 25 tracks all with reverse and variations, total = 75.

I was also thinking that if they released GT5 on N64, they would only be able to fit like 1 car and 0 tracks because of the file size. Good thing it's not on N64, dodged a bullet there.

Apparently around the net, people seem to think a release date will be announced tomorrow by Kaz at SEMA. I doubt this is true though... http://twitter.com/Green_W_1989 I can't find a source for this information, sounds like wishful thinking.
 
Yes 70 is still ton's, especially when you include the "infinit" track randomer. So that would be infiniti + 70. That's enough for me.

BTW what was the GT4 track count? I have a feeling there was far below 70 so no reason to complain. Unless there is a track that people are upset doesn't turn up. For that we have the emo thread.

OK I found it GT4 had 51 track's, so be happy :).

I honestly would be happy with just Top gear track and Nurburgring. Maybe also Circuit de la Sarthe. I really like the ones PD made the most though. We need them to bring back a lot of those.

Top Gear track for kicking celebrities asses and Nurburgring for a challenge and some scenery.
 
Yeah I enjoy all the original PD track's other than the High Speed Ring, hated it from the very beginning. Well off to bed for me. ttyl Pizza.
 
The doors opened at 9pm, so I would assume there would have been the announcements an hour after that. But even then we should've heard something by now
 
If the gamestop turismo tuesdays is going again, we now only have 2 tuesdays left according to the site.... seems pointless starting it up again untill they knew the date.

maybe its in 2 weeks??

could we see a 16th of nov date?

if it was out the tuesday after the last turismo tuesday it would be the 23rd

Not really, they totally skipped last tuesday and ths one was a recycle of a vid that has been on the net for weeks since Week 1.

I think it can go 1 of 2 ways. Mid December or before, or March. I hear March is a better time to release games than January so I think they need to get this to shelves soon if we have any chance of seeing it in 2010.

Sources at SEMA say more news coming tomorrow (Thursday). It's all over twitter.

I guess that BIG news about GT5 being GOLD wasn't news? Or that there's a VIP party with Kaz tonight at SEMA? Nope, that's not news.

Seems from some of the replies though that people are not taking this news too seriously. I was hoping it might be a simultaneous workdwide release, but it doesnt appear it will be.

"Geachte heer/mevrouw,

Onlangs heeft u bij ons de game ‘Gran Turismo 5 - Collector's Edition’ voor de PlayStation 3 besteld onder bestelnummer *********.

Fabrikant Sony heeft echter laten weten dat de release van dit artikel is uitgesteld. De game wordt nu op 21 december 2010 uitgebracht. U ontvangt uw bestelling op diezelfde dag.

I've just had a email from Amazon saying the estimated arrival date is 17th December :-)
 
just got an email from Amazon UK:

Estimated arrival date: December 17 2010"

I can live with that.
 
There is a dude from NZ on twitter, claiming that they had GT5 arrive in stock last week... sounds suss.

google "GT5" with the 'latest' filter
