Good morning everyone.
What does the GT Planet Collective Consciousness conclude on the release date?
The 12-year old Gran Turismo franchise is recognized as the world's best and most authentic driving simulator. Gran Turismo 5, releasing exclusively on the PlayStation 3 (PS3) system this year and now for the first time in stereoscopic 3-D, offers more than 1,000 licensed cars from the world's top manufacturers and racing organizations such as NASCAR and more than 20 tracks with 70 variations, including famous world circuits, city courses, and other environments. Additionally, players have the ability to custom create their own racing course and participate in a robust online system. Players can race online with up to 16 players through PlayStation Network and transfer vehicles unlocked in Gran Turismo for PSP (PlayStation Portable) into their garage in Gran Turismo 5. Featuring exciting gameplay to suit newcomers, automotive enthusiasts, and seasoned fans, Gran Turismo 5 truly raises the bar on delivering an ultra-realistic driving experience with unparalleled visuals and lifelike graphics that are difficult to distinguish from a live race. Some new key features include a completely new physics engine improving steering feel and dynamics during turns and drifts, a deep track editor function, vehicle damage, an online mode and more.

What? you can't customize standards?
Err... "Custom create their own racing course" and then "a deep track editor function", I'm sure that will cause some confusion >_>
No. Standards were not modelled with individual parts.
I edited the Qore video in order to show only the sections with GT5 footage. I've removed the audio too.
It's assumed you can customise them the same as GT4 (Visual: wing, wheels) but body kits wont be available for them.

at 2:23. you can see skidmarks.
Also you should've added some music.
Although they do not have detachable parts when it comes to damaging them, they may have detachable parts in customization. In fact, it's not as if we are detaching anything in customization, we are only replacing, and that's a huge difference.
Sure there is.
In the GT AUTO menu you can clearly make out left to right.
Car Wash
Oil change
Car paint
Wheel paint
Wheels
Body kits
Performance Parts
Weight Redux
and R-mods.

Or at least thats my interpretation of it.
If we can R-mod our standard cars, i dont see why we cant Body Kit them...
That's not the best bit look at the nissan gtr backfiring at 0:40

The cars are made in one piece (standards), panels gaps are drawn in, you wont be able to replace parts them unless the whole model is changed which it wont be.
Thats for Premium cars, we're talking about standards.

What about overriding the original panels.

Thats for Premium cars, we're talking about standards. Besides it being logical, Kaz has already confirmed this.
So in your opinion, Standard cars wont be R-moddable?![]()
