Removing cars for a changeover sounds abit backwards doesn't it, I cant see it happening myself, Maybe they will just replace the standards on the disk with Premiums in the form of DLC

I can see Kaz doing the premium cars as DLC plus it would allow him to perfect his game even more. So basically given how he is we can almost expect them.
 
Right, I got an email from Amazon UK 40 minutes ago (strange getting it 2am..) saying GT5 is estimated to release 17th December.

I know I know everyone's posting stuff like this but it's the first time Amazon has given a firm release date to me personally since the delay, and I know this date has been knocking about a lot. Considering the current situation with the game going gold and being in production this seems like a perfectly valid genuine release date. Here's hoping!


Oh, and it's the CE I've got preordered.

Looks like a Corvette ZR1 to me, just saying.

Interesting video nonetheless. I like the fact that there's no damage! I want to be able to toggle it on and off in case I don't feel like wrecking a nice car in a crucial race.

np, there'll be better ones to come, better resolution...I tried doing a burn out, but it would not do it, maybe the Motul might

Maybe its the type of tyres you selected were they S or R, N tires should smoke no problem, in GT4 you can burn a 150hp car out with N tires!

A big fat burnout would be cool to see - I like the look of the new smoke in GT5 - seems much better than Prologue though would be great if it hung in the air a bit longer so we could really smoke the track up!

:lol: Wow those are pretty sticky. I played the GT5 Demo and you can do burnouts and donuts. 👍

Ya you should be able to, if you read under the youtube descriptions of the video, the damage on vehicles will not show in replays of this current demo... though I do hope that the full game will have replays that will show the damage.

Well, some copies are anyways. i wonder if they will release the game in short supplies if they don't make enough by christmas, or just wait until they do so.

There were like 15 new pages since I went out to get drunk and have some fun, so I innocently thought something really happened in the meantime, but imagine my surprise...nothing new, only some crappy discussions over nothing important...pfffft...

Then why haven't they even told us when it's coming out? Good thing it's supposedly being pressed, and good thing we haven't heard anything from Sony regarding their flagship title in almost a month, besides the X1 prototype specs.

Even the PS blog ignores us. Although they seem to be as clueless as us

With the lack of news, the thread has devolved into essentially a chat room (despite a few of us actually sitting in, y'know, the actual chat room), or an endless stream of "I dunno if anybody's posted this, but [insert retailer's filler date]". We're going through more pages per day now than we did when there was actual news.

(Yes, I realize this post is ironic).

Yep my sentiments exactly, And lets be honest is anyone gonna complain about GT5 DLC I think not coz its going to be epic :p
 
I thought Kaz said there'll be no DLC? If there is, I hope it'll be like GT5 Prologue.

I find it baffling how some people dont even check the front page to this site and instead go straight into the forums. If the discs are being made, then there is no reason that it would be held back till january. Christmas is the biggest time for sony, Last christmas they were Incredibly successful, with the Slim ps3, and the controller packages. So why wouldn't they release it around the end of november- beginning of december? Its more money for them, more systems sold, more controllers sold, more wheels sold (Logitech, a sony company) and a great weapon to use in their arsenal during the holiday battle with microsoft and Nintendo.

If Kaz really did say that the discs were being produced, there could be virtually no delay, unless there are technical problems in which all the discs have to be made again- Which is very unlikely to happen. Were talking about discs, not bombs.

At this point, any delays that happen are on behalf of Sony.
The game has gone gold, and at this point PD are working on Outlining GT6, Post release-Patching/tweaking (GT5), and hopefully, planning out DLC for GT5.

If he said no DLC then why would he suggest perhaps the inclusion of Motorbikes :p, Sorry had to just point that out :D, But logically new cars are released all the time so Kaz is sure to want the latest sexy metal in his game isnt he

The fact that the discs are being printed means Its coming soon.Any other answer from Kaz,I would say March next year.We need to be opimistic,mid December latest.

Hey guys, I found something interesting in a Sears catalog ( I was at the doctor today and it was lying on the floor and I had to kill time). I saw Gran Turismo 5 in the video game section along side the new Need for Speed and a PS3. The significance? Well this Sears catalog was advertising the sales they would have on Black Friday, (GT5 for 59.99, so instead of 60 we get it for a penny less :D ) so does this mean that we can expect Gran Turismo 5 to be released sometime around Black Friday? I don't see why it would even be advertised if it were to be released in December, or dare I say 2011?

Also, forgive me for any typos, I'm using a pretty bad keyboard.

1 - As far as I'm aware, the official price has always been $59.99, not $60.

2 - Expect all you want but any dates coming from a retailer hold absolutely no water until verified by an official source.

1. I know, it was a joke...
2. It's still something though, and with the fact that the discs are already being stamped (and by Kaz himself *hopes someone has seen the gif or vid I'm talking about*), it's still a possibility.
