Me too - a mate of mine plays the track on R-Factor and said it was quite boring to drive on but I've watched enough Top Gear that I think I will enjoy the crap out of it even if it isn't as exciting as some of the other tracks in the game.

One thing that confuses me is why does SCEA say he's still working on the game and Kaz says it's being pressed? And then, if it's being pressed, why don't we have a release date?

it'll be chaos in the carry over where some slower drivers might smash into the faster ones.
 
Yeah it looks pretty great, I also think many people will be drifting there because it is a wide track and short. It will probably be where i learn to drift because i never drifted in a gt game. I grew up playing gt3 a spec with my ps2 and i never knew what drifting was back then. Then i bought a ps3 and never had gt4. I have been drifting lots of nfs games and Dirt and Midnight Club Los Angelos! They all suck haha. So I am excited for that reason as well.
 
I'm HAPPY! just came back from playing the demo at Gamestop, it's in Toronto! I play until they closed hahaha good thing the store was real quiet and the manager didn't mind. I recorded a video of a viper mounting the front end of an enzo hahaha I'll upload it later

Yey i'm going to be going to this store a lot until it releases ha ha!!

Another reason why it will be fun. 90% of the people online will not play GT5 like a sim, and so track like the Ring will be too long, too complicated and too difficult for them.
 
Ahhh! Lucky. How was it? Are you satified? Tell us!! I never talked to a guy that has tested the game!!
 
I've been drifting in GT5 Prologue quite a bit recently and am really enjoying the challenge of not overdoing it and finding the right speed and angles etc to get maximum points. I'm really looking forward to some new tracks to play on and trying the different cars - also be great to see what ultimate drift tracks other players will design using the track editor. And yes Top Gear track should be fun as to drift and test cornering limits with the big wide sections of the track.

Espescialy were the middle run way breaks right and left in such a skinny area. Some cars will go rellly slow to turn right and others will be ripping to turn left.

Maybe you are right, but I'd bet for Tsukuba :)

After playing it by years, in the last weeks I'm really enjoying it in GT4...
 
well...it is pretty dang hard probably because I challenged myself to overtake as many cars as I could within 21/2mins they give you and was racing in A class. It's pretty easy to lose your car but I caught it many times. I only drove the 458 and Enzo..458 felt a little disconnected but maybe because the sense of speed still wasn't as good. I found it doesn't handle as well as reviews claim the real car does, I don't know maybe it's cause it's still a demo. I liked the enzo and I was expecting some understeer but it wasn't much, it felt pretty powerful though. One hour wasn't long enough for me, I kept trying to get a clean lap and at the same time push the car to the limits but it's very difficult.

Next I just went on the oval circuit, went backwards, and tried to smash the Enzo as much as I could. As I said I got a viper on top of me lol I think only the Enzo can lift cars up because of its slanted noise.

Anyways I'll probably do much better next time and I'll have my brother bring his hd cam to record. I was only using my bb cam which is liek 1.3mp so it's crap, my apologies but that's all I really had hahah

I've enjoyed it in Enthusia more, actually. GT4's physics just didn't cut it for me.

Personal opinion.

Well anything that is super short will become popular because you have 16 cars in less of a area, and that would lead to constant crashes, meaning you would never really be out of the race even if you fall behind.

That is correct, premium cars. There is a huge difference between premiums and standards.

But that never stopped cars in previous GT's from being R-modded.

In previous GT's (GT2) Racing mod was a whole new entire poly mesh for the car, that takes quite a bit of extra work remaking the car and the reason we haven't seen it since GT2. Don't expect them to go back and rebody old assets (Standards) for body kits or racing mod, it would be more productive for PD to model a interior (IMO) for these cars instead but they wont waste their time on obsolete models. If you want to believe Standards will have race mods and customisable body kits then feel free, you will be dissapointed.
 
I wonder how many cars will eventually be removed from GT because of the transformation from standard to premium
 
Damn you all with your GT4 talk! My ps2 broke a while back and I can't play my gt4 or tourist trophy, wish my ps3 was backwards capable.

Removing cars for a changeover sounds abit backwards doesn't it, I cant see it happening myself, Maybe they will just replace the standards on the disk with Premiums in the form of DLC
