You guys remember when the PS3 slim was announced right? There was a shroud of secrecy and the rumor mill had been running at full bore. In a matter of a couple of hours after the "official" 'announcement, major gaming media bloggers, magazines, and television had their hands on it and were posting their thoughts, unboxings, etc. I wouldn't put it past Sony to have GT5 on shelves by this Tuesday. BO and GT5 have nothing to do with each other except guaranteeing GT5 will be sold at midnight at every store selling BO at midnight. I would like to see GT5 take on NFS:HP3 the following Tuesday.

Yeah, but Dave, they already have the advertising done, so even if they hold off the TV and gaming sites with the advertising, it still takes time to replicate, package, send to distributors, and then to retailers.

Would I like a Midnight drop of GT5/ You bet. Does Sony REALLY need to advertise this title, Nope. The people on the GT forums globally have been waiting for it for so long and have every tidbit of information on it, they don't need advertising. They need the game.

I think that all of the interviews and video game shows and magazine articles that have been plastered all over the internet have saved PD/Sony a ton of advertising money. So in reality, I take back the advertising crap I said earlier, it's just a matter of distribution after production and packaging.

This difference with the slim was they were still selling the existing product (fat) and didn't want those to stop selling because the public knew a new model was coming out. They need reviews in all media and adverts on TV and in the press to push GT5 so I don't think they'll announce it's on shelves now(ish) as they need more build up to maximise sales, I hope I'm wrong though!

I can't help but believe something is cooking. Too many secrets, too few screenshots.

I do, have more faith than ever that GT5 is coming this year, before Christmas.

Where is Amar? He always pops up when the forum is at it's peaks.

On top of this, nobody can argue against the numbers, constantly over 1000 viewers of this thread. I always believe in people having natural hype when they sense something big.

Or else, I'm going slightly crazy.

Don't know what you guys are expecting off Jordan. Sony's not said anything about stolen discs or release dates.

Complete agree with that,if there is a leaked disc we already should see some leaked pics,and since noting new has come out since October,I think that the next thing about GT5 will be from the full game and no demo,so far we are still in the same way before delay release,still waiting for new news that I'm afraid will be on December at this rate,yeah the discs are apparently being printed but I'm stating to doubt about it.
 
Just to bring everyone back to what was the main topic of discussion a week or so ago.

Now this song is properly stuck in my head. Can really see how it's gonna work with the intro. Yes the quality is dodgy but at least you can hear most of the instruments properly in this clip.
