Honestly, the fact that the guy even spent time to record and post a video when he didn't have to should be enough.

And I still remember quite a few people here saying:

"Why would Sony wait to announce the release date at Paris Games Week/SEMA/my Grandma's birthday? If they had a date they'd tell us right away!"

Well, as we can see they didn't tell us and they're waiting for something. Wonder what it is though.

Maybe there's a chance these leaks will speed up things regarding announcements at least, guess they didn't see this coming though.
It does make Sony look bad, although that's the least of my worries to be honest.
 
Here is my enhanced video the quality change isn't as good as I hoped however its still being processed so it hope it will improve.

Just out of pure curiosity, as I am not a big video gamer, how does the normal release date info usually work? Does a company make a big deal out of a release date say 3 months in advance, or does it happen a few weeks beforehand?

By big deal, I mean a press release or TV commericals, not a post on IGN or their own internal blog.
 
Seems like The Stig isn't in the game anymore. No trophy for the Stig challenge, it's just Top Gear challenge now.

Well, every game is different, and usually there are different circumstances. For example, the Nov 2 release date was announced like what, half a year early, because PD/ sony thought they could meet it. Now they missed it by not much, so its possible that all they needed was a extra week or 2.

Really? I don't see why they would need to remove The Stig form the game, as there is a new Stig now which is also white (no variation in costume from what I can gather).
 
Last night I went to bed pissed off because of that CZ guy. Damn Gametrailers...

But i woke up today to see this! I JUST DIED!
