I have never played GT5 psp so I don't know how the dealership's worked. Is it just the used cars that are playing musical chairs or all cars? Is their any proof of whatever system is being used in GT5 PS3?

If I am understanding your question correctly: :scared:

Unfortunately, there aren't any used cars in GTPSP. The system in GTPSP was on a rotation of 3 or 4 dealers (sorry, can't remember the exact number right now), but the available car models for each dealer also changed depending on the day. If you missed Honda on one 12 (randomly chosen # in my head), the next time it popped up on day 38 (again random), some of the cars would be different. It had a set system, so the dealership days were tracked and made available in the GT PSP section of the forum.

Honestly, would doing whatever he wanted help anymore? In fact, it'd probably be worse. Sure he hasn't gotten the inside info he wants, but he still gets to have his site whereas if he followed your suggestion, he'd probably wouldn't be here now. I'm no expert in these sort of relations I'll admit, but I can't imagine doing that would help at all.

"Doing what he wanted" would help by maintaining the integrity of this being a GT5 fan news site, and not an official Sony customer relations site. I have a big problem with the censorship of information by corporations and governments.

There were no used cars in GTPSP so all new cars. You are given 4 different manufacturers with max of 10 cars each manufacturer that will change every two days and the entire dealer cycle is 70 days. The manufacturers repeat for manufacturers with more than 10 cars but the cars don't in the day cycle. So..pretty much if you missed the Ferrari you want to buy on Day 1, you need to go to Day 70 to see it again, and if you still didn't farm enough money by Day 70, you get it at Day 140.
 
Yes you got my question, sorry about being confusing. I hope it is not that way in GT5.
 
This whole thing is lame. Oh well, off to the COD midnight release. At least Activison knows how to treat it's customers right. :indiff:

Where I don't think it'll be march since people have the game, I do agree tho, that It was a relief to see those videos and see some nice raw gameplay, we all paid to have our game november 2nd, it was at its final stages minus the firmware update, what is seeing the track list and the intro really going to do. They owe us at least that, especially since it's sorta sad that we've found out more from outside sources than from that of the company itself.

I mean, its the fact of seeing someone with a copy, and being able to see the track list and see the intro proved it was legit, which all gave us a peace of mind to see it, we know it's coming close now because someone was able to share that with us. +1 to the uploader of the video, -1 to SCEA for being so rude to their customers.

Seeing as it is SIX days later then the delayed release date all this talk about being three days late is atleast 3 to 4 weeks longer, is crazy when we are able to see the game right now. I honestly just think never mind I don't even know what I want to say right now. The freaking game is done and people are playing it and I am seeing tons of Kinect commercials and I have yet to see anything that tells the general public "Hey we are Sony and PD this is our flagship title we were wondering would you like to purchase this fantastic game or would you rather be in the dark forever and let us release information to you in little tidbits every other month or so"

I'm going to bed I guess I will wake up tomorrow and check GTP like always and not see a release date, oh well there is always the day after tomorrow.

I really wanted to hold myself back looking at the intro vid...
Hopefully nothing else gets leaked, because I want a nice fresh start to GT5

So for those suckers that did look at the GT5 intro (like me), what do you guys think about the sound track from CR? IMO it's ok I guess, but Moon over the castle is still way better.

Yes, the MCR music is rubbish, but it's only for half the video, so you have time to turn down the audio :yuck:

I have this crazy theory, what if Sony delayed GT5 and is not revealing the release date because of NFS: Hot Pursuit? EA has been cozy with Sony lately, going as far as demoing their big games during their E3 press conference on the PS3, and Criterion has always had a good relationship with Sony (PS3 has been the lead platform for both Burnout Paradise and Hot Pursuit). What if Sony wanted to give Hot Pursuit a chance to sell before unleashing GT5 on everyone?

not a chance, that's way too big of a favor, the payout would definitely not be worth it
 
I think this whole GT5 controversy is the epitome to what has been a somewhat dissappointing gaming generation for Sony.
-frequent delays
-overly long dev cycles
-poor public relations
compared to the competition, sony has really dropped the ball, and in the next gaming gen, I might not go with Sony like I have since the early PS2 days.
 
I just don't understand why Sony can't just say something about the release date... when will it be announced?
 
One of my friends who is a GameStop manager,Told me that GT5 copies are being shipped to the US within a week or so.I'll probably get an early copy too...

same. having some random person leak info for a game we have had preordered for so long and still nothing from sony is a slap in the face of everyone waiting.

Im actually kind of angry that the game has been leaked.

How the hell did this happen anyway they should know by now that this stuff happens if your not careful. Now i've already seen the intro movie which was pretty average and the fact that some dude is sitting in his shady lounge playing the game makes it all seem less exciting.

People are saying these guys stole it from a distribution center or something. I'm assuming the game is sitting in the back of stores somewhere and some small shop decided to sell a few copies.
It kind of seems like the 3 day delay that was Kaz's fault was only an 3-5 day delay in production as well but that put it way too close to BLACK OPS(yeah, yeah whatever) and sony decided to hold off for who knows how long.

That was only because Insidesimracing was able to get him access, not because Sony offered it.

Thanks for clearing that up guys, I also wondered about that as haven't played gtpsp.. But I hope gt5 isn't like that, sounds terible lol
 
I called my all my local Gamestops and they haven't heard anything about a GT5 shipment... heck, even one employee said "Thank you for calling Gamestop where we buy, sell, and trade used games and yes we do have Black Ops in stock and are doing a midnight release this is X...."

Controversy? It's not Sony's fault that the fans are so eager for the game.

Long dev cycles are normal they need to create the engine first for the PS3 and most first party devs have specialized engines.

PSblog is pretty awesome, so I don't think they have poor public relations. You guys don't have to wait for GT5 much longer, just enjoy black ops or NFS (lol) till then.

Do you have a problem with corporations protecting copyrighted material?

Somebody has obtained a copy of an unreleased game (possibly illegaly) as is releasing copyrighted content that he has no rights to onto the internet.

If I was to obtain a copy of one of next months hit movies and released the video of it onto YouTube would you think the producers of the film had no right to remove it?
