Ok, so I'm not usually part of the rumor mill...

But, what the hell...

Over on Gaf, some Member (who possibly works at Sony) is claiming they went into work today, and they received an email saying that a release date has been agreed upon. November 23rd.

Take it as a major rumor, but I figured I'd at least let everyone aware of possible good news (or drama).

Sounds right. I got to thinking about as to why Sony hasn't said anything. They really don't gain a lot from not having a release date. I think the major reason for the lack of a release date was because they didn't know how many copies they could produce to how many they would need. If you think about it, wouldn't it suck if you shipped out November 23rd yet barely had enough copies to only cover preorders? Or launch on the 30th when you had enough copies for a 23rd release? To be honest, I think they've been double checking. They're making sure they nail the right date with just enough copies.

Just my 2 cents on the matter.

The game will be out next month! Stop stressing out everyone !

I am going to the New Zealand launch party and its being held at the end of this month.

I highly doubt it will be a very good launch party if the whole point of the party is absent. Therefore i can safely assume that the game will be released early next month.

only trouble with the GAF is that when someone posts something interesting or funny we get it posted here about 10x during the day, and a few times everyday after that ad infinitum.

the actual posts are very descent quality

Well, if anything big happens there it will cross pollinate. So I wouldn't worry too much. But basically everyone wants to see the email. He is trying to get his boss to send it to him.

Yea, probably trollin', but it's kind of fun to witness.

There's a lot of people saying the 23rd or 24th, and to be honest, one is on a tuesday, and both of those dates are close to the madrid date, and if you think about why they "say" that it was withheld and they missed the production window by a few days, then 21 days after the original "release" date sounds pretty dead on to me, I see no reason why it shouldn't be out then, especially since that's also from a lot of people too. I'm pretty firm on believing it.

Still wonder why if it is coming out in 2 weeks, why they'd wait till so late to give a release date, or maybe it's just suppose to be this way.
 
Remember, the release date will be both the 23d AND the 24th, to achieve simultaneous release worldwide.

It's still not great, but I can tell a difference between GT4 and GTPSP. I think it has gotten better, but definitely still hoping for improvements in that department.
 
Don't know if this has been posted yet, but GAF is going nuts, apparently some guy got a company email at his job from Sony confirming 11/23 as GT5's street date. We've been guessing the 23rd all week and the evidence continues to mount up.

Yeah, was thinking about that earlier, 23rd in the US at midnight would be on a Tuesday, and the 24th for the madrid release. Sounds about right, that's just me.

Yeah, basically they are there to give you a challenge, not to challenge you... if that makes any sense. They are there to keep the game realistic and keep you from becoming bored, not to "think" and try to win the race... they really don't give a damn, those 0s and 1s. They just do what they're told. Just be grateful there are 15 of them this time instead of 5!

Not to rain on people's parade, but the guy could be just giving people what they want to hear, and essentially trolling.

You got it, if they released it on the 23d in New Zealand, we would get it a full day before some other countries.

I know lol but I was in a race in GT5P and I got rammed but 5-6 cars like if I wasn't there. Really annoying...Worst AI I've ever seen in a racing game.

Well, it would be nice if my B-spec driver doesn't race up and either slam the brakes or the bumpers of other cars like in GT4, I hope they've taught Bob how to pass after drafting!
 
24th was supposed to be EU release, so its 23rd in the US.

Just like Nov 2 and Nov 3 before.

i think its more like 23rd in US, 24th EU and 25th AU/NZ& ASIA
