Maybe for Australia. But I doubt it'll be released that late here in the states or in Europe. I mean hell, the launch part is less then two weeks away. So what you're saying is nothing more then what you're hearing and what you think of the matter. Just speculation.

Well, he was the first person to show the disc cover which we now know to be the official one.

And the rumored dates going around are the 23rd in America, the 24th in Europe and likely the 25th for Australia, so it sounds about right anyway!

1. Tomorrow we will get a release date of the 23rd for NA/SA and the 24th Europe/Asia.

2. It will be announced by Kevin Butler and their filming of the commercial has been part of the reason for the announcement delay.


(Or at least this is what I'm hoping happens)

Can't, Australia will not have the game to December, it is impossible to get it here in that time.

Its already been pressed in Australia, so they only need like 2 weeks at max to send to all the retailers in Australia and NZ.

It's pretty funny. Every day, someone new has this undying hope a release date is going to be release, the very next day.

Then it doesn't happen, we all get to the weekend, and hope for something on Monday.. followed by.. nothing

Surely we can ease up on competizione. With the loads of activity here in recent days, the thread has shot up to 100+ pages a day; not everyone has endless amounts of time. Our normal pace is less than 10 pages a day, but this...

I know right. It is so painful, but every day has a higher percentage of being correct. ;)

Part of me doubts this greatly. If that leaked disk was from Sidney there is no way they haven't printed enough by now for Australia UNLESS Sidney is also printing disks for other regions as well which got shipped before they stocked warehouses in Australia.

The only other possibility I could think of is that they printed a small batch for testings but it would be a little late for that.

I think Sony is setting us up for a "surprise" release. It will lessen the PR sting of the delay of the Nov. 2nd planned release. I'm guessing we'll see that Butler guy leaving the "move" house, and going to Indy or something in a week or two on the TV.

Sorry had to quote myself from a few days back. I hope amazon sticks to their "release day delivery" if they don't know when the game is coming out.
 
Is B-Dex a reliable source on Neogaf or is he a new user? I dont feel like making a new account just to view his profile.

And does anyone know if you can completely turn the HUD off during gameplay? Like the map, speedometer, laps, rankings, etc.

To think about it.. (and you do have a very good point, I know how you feel). But this is something that I was thinking of myself just today. Since the November 2nd release date was cancelled.. when was it..late Oct early Nov? whenever doesn't matter but it's only been less than 2 weeks. Take into consideration the fact that Sony employees probably don't work over the weekend, it hasn't been that long. Coming up to the 2 week mark now since November 2nd, I'm guessing this coming new week will bring us some new information on a release date.

But yeah the point of all my rubbish if you don't want to read is that, it hasn't been a very long time.. only roughly 2 weeks or so.

If you come on here like heaps every day (like I do) then two weeks seems like forever.

The reason behind the no release date is, the batch printed in Australia failed. The game was due for release pretty quickly.

The guy who has the game, is from the failed batch, it is a dodgy copy and he got given it from where he works, it probably fails somewhere along the line or something.

That printed batch was suppose to be shipped to store warehouses etc here in Australia starting on the 11th Nov, yesterday here.

However, now it is not, they have to reprint them, and ship them out.

Hence, December for Australia, you guys might get it before, I can't find that info out.

Not sure, I haven't been frequenting Gaf until lately. But one other member vouched for him. But I guess we will see.

Regarding the HUD, I think play3man said 58 told him you can't. Considering it is such an easy to implement and often requested feature; I thought it would be a "lock". But maybe not.

The source is the supplier here in Australia, I went to see a mate at a local store.

He rang them while i was there, on speaker phone so I could hear it, and asked the situation.

That store has over 700 orders, they are now contacting all those people letting them know to expect a mid December release date.

I myself, might import it. If I can find a place that is not sold out in a heart beat.

How does a batch fail? Is it like spontaneous abortion or something?

It's a fancy printer. It just prints on discs instead of paper. I don't see how this would happen with competent human beings and natural selection being what it is.
