There is 2 things I love about the 24th release date that we all knew was coming, 1: I get GT5 in my hands in a week and a half. 2: I can't wait to walk up to the all knowing gamestop employees here and when I get up to the counter to get my preorder, I know its going to be the same guy working, he's always there, and I'm going to say "so how you liking that 1/1/2011 street date that you said that it was going to be, and to not believe what I hear from reliable sources like GTplanet? You liking that new Nov 24th date that I told you that it was going to be and that your computer is now "showing you" ? lol
 
Maybe now the date/cars/tracks are confirmed, the total ingrate fanboys who have massively unrealistic ambitions for this game will just clip a grass verge and slam into a tyre wall never to return. I am over the moon that this game is here, and the car list is enormous. Thanks Kaz and PD.

It's not that PD has put more japanese cars in because they are japanese ...it's just that they have much stronger connections with manufacturers like Toyota or Honda than with ones like Ford or Ferrari. Another reason is simply because most of the cars in older GT games were japanese ...this way they didn't need to photograph new cars because they had all the information already.

So it seems like people are dissapointet about the content (including me) but are happy after all that the game will at least will be released... Just like you want an Ferrari but at least you get an VW Golf and you are happy...

No offence but it seems like that US game producers had a better taste of car selection ;)

Who needs 400 Japanese cars?

Tracklist? Mhh at least Monza and Nordschleife is in...

Anyway, I will judge after I played a few hours...

Gotta agree with you. No SPA just plain sucks, but they also did not list the Piazza del campo (spelled incorrectly) which we know is in the game.

Because i will everyone to se how this game has failed on many points. I hope PD read this forum and accept theri faults, you cant be healthe in your head if you think this game dosn't lack functions that everyone thaught would be ingame. I complain as much as i want, hopefully PD will do something about the so called premium car list, also known as a joke.
 
Everyone forgets so fast about all of the features that this game is bringing the table just because "so & so car is standard," or "so & so track didn't make the cut."

Remember: Online (which has ****tons of features), damage, dynamic day/night cycles, dynamic weather changes, 1031 CARS, OVER 70 tracks, the best graphics you will see, the best physics model that you will experience, an so on.

This game will not disappoint.
 
Am I one of the only people happy with this list after all this is GT5 the real DRIVING simulator not the real SUPER CAR simulator.
 
There's no FPV. What's this? Oh well, good job I'm a Holden fan anyway. Bring it on.

I'm just so happy they have the Fujiwara AE86,

I had a dream about it being in the game but i never thought they would ever actually do it.
 
Like many others already mentioned, it's impossible to please some of you guys. Sony and PD keeps their mouth shut, you cry, whine and complain like PD owes you information. When Sony and PD releases any information, you still cry, whine, and complain that it's not good enough for your liking.

PD obviously didn't make people happier by releasing the car and track list by the # of posts we have here that's complaining about missing cars, standard cars etc. I almost wish that PD didn't give us the car and track list and only handed out a release date. We certainly would've been much more grateful and happier than some of us are now.
 
Curse you Sony!! Sticking your nose into our GT affairs! Those missing tracks/cars better be here as DLC for the New Year...and it better be FREE! :grumpy:

But the track isn't in the list...if it is even ready?
Could that be the reason the "Horsepower" trailer was pulled by Sony?

I'm not going to speculate on the trailer being pulled, but that definitely is the old El Capitan course. I remember very clearly the hill on the inside of that right-hander. I would always clip part of the hill and ruin my lap. It's clearly El Capitan.
 
Errr......which one would suit racing on racing tracks...errr....geee....I...dunno?

I'll still buy it and enjoy every minute of whats there, but I DO HOPE theres going to be some quality DLC before GT6.
