One of the main reasons they won't delay 2 days in the states is because of Black Friday. A LOT of shoppers head to stores the midnight before Black Friday. So if they do delay the states, they'll AT LEAST make it available for the midnight sales, if not a few hours earlier thanks to douchebag stores like walmart that sell early anyway.
 
I guess we will know soon, but, why in *self inflicted censorship* did they just delay it 2 days?

on top on that, without an anouncement.... just a changed date on the "oh so up to date" regional versions of playstation.com

no retailers in sweden has updated to the 26th yet....
 
I'm just happy that UK is still 24th, will be playing the day before in the pre-order pays off.
 
We need an investigative GT5 topic. I have a lot of points that can be molded into what Sony's plot might be.

Europe is the better market, but it's too loyal. They have to charm the USA into buying it and they tend to treat them better. Europe can be taken for granted and often is.

changing the UK abbreviation for every other EU country I could think of and they are all the 26th except us. But I've no doubt we will change shortly as well.

Most games in the u.k actually come mid week. the whole "always release on a Friday" is a myth.
What day did black ops release ? Tuesday..enough said.
 
Finland is still on 24th aswell, however quite a few retailers are estimating a 24-26th release on their websites.

I hate this kind of traditions, not every spaniard likes it.

I also hate Jeremy Clarkson, he needs some reading time! because in that town they push a sheep off a towerblock... but I love his humuor! and his hair! and his: "IN THE WORLD"

If everywhere else like Germany and France are saying the 26th then I suspect your right:mad:. Also nice to see another member from Sussex and just down the road from me.

It's only a matter of time.

Mainland Europe will get a single date. The Uk is usually a day or two later, but if the EU date is a Friday it will probably be the same.

I suspect this is a producer/distributor conflict. I'd imagine that, with long-standing release day traditions, shipping between sites in Europe is geared to given days and, though we might find GT to be important, they won't change trucking schedules for a single-platform release.

Sony's intent is probably still to deliver the games for release on 24th. The distributors have control from there. If you ordered online, you're likely to get it before the 26th.
