anyone know when the review embargo is lifted? then well get a far better idea of unlocking content etc etc....
 
I don't understand peoples surprise at the EU release getting pushed to the 26th, don't you remember the last release date we had? And all the moaning that the EU's date got pushed back to the Friday? Some seriously short memories in here.

You already have the wheel, keep it. You might not be able to assigned buttons(rumored), but the wheel worked great in GT5P. The functions that did work there, should at least work the same in GT5. I don't regret buying the wheel at all. I took the bite back in June in preparation for this game along with my custom stand and GT5P. A month or two from now, you won't miss that 300 bucks.

200 bucks... logitech's black friday code got leaked on saturday.... Now it doesn't work but it did over the weekend. As long as I can use the shifter I'm fine. Thats all I care about

So it appears we might get a 2 day delay so it'll be released on the 26th in Europe?
Going to sound a bit selfish (and I normally "hate" those who say this but in this case it's only 2 days ;)) but that'll actually suit me, just started building some furniture yesterday to house the speakers of my home cinema set and some further DIY improvements on my gaming set-up which I planned to do long before November the 2nd but lazily postponed it after the delay.
So it now turns out to be a bit of a rushed job as I wouldn't have much spare time left after GT5 arrives (and it would be postponed forever knowing myself), if it remains the 24th my design may end up being the Standard solution, 2 days more guarantees the full Premium treatment.:D

The UK is still 24th?
 
Gamestop canada updated its release date from dec 7 to "unavailable", and gamestop US still says nov 24.

I'm sorry but adding 2 more days to the 7 days I have left of waiting is just torture.

My brother went into GAME yesterday, they said that you should que up on the 24th, with your preorder card, and you will have the game on the 24th.

I hope it stays that way!
 
arent games usually released on tuesdays in NA? why is it november 24, thats a wednesday.. this is odd.

Yep, I'll be there waiting. The pre-order receipt is getting a bit tatty in my wallet, so I can't wait much longer :P

They put this date maybe to delay it to their last chance of "delay game" that they enjoyed it this year TO THE NEXT TUESDAY.

Not sure if the paddles is whats causing all the commotion. I read that the shifter was the one that might lack functions. We will see.
 
All European sites on Gran Turismo.com state just November now.

USA and Canada state 24th still.

I couldn't tell you what was stated on the European sites prior to tonight as I can't remember.

We know it started like this with the first delay.

But in all seriousness, when some retailers had the game already, they can not really delay it anymore, I hope.
 
I dont mean on the Playstion site, on the granturismo.com.

because we are getting the game tuesday night, come on do u think they are waiting till weds the stores, hell no. Tuesday night most will have the game, games never get released on Weds. nor do movies get released on Saturdays. never gonna happen, Tuesday it is. Or the mom and pop shops would make a killing if the big stores dont call us all on Tuesday evening.
 
Ok, not to be an ass here, but in that Rally video, the Suzuki doesn't collect dust or dirt AT ALL. This was in the press release.

And I quote here: "A first for the franchise, vehicles will now show real-time damage and wear that reflect the driver’s treatment of the car. Cars will collect dirt (and can be washed at car washes) and will feature adaptive and accurate body deformation and performance damage based on point of impact and velocity (on select vehicles)."

That car looks spotless. One of my biggest pet peeves with GT wasn't lack of reverse lights, or no skidmarks, or no horn, it was cars don't collect dirt at all. You're racing on a dirt course, yet the car looks as shiny as the day it was made. That kinda ruins the realism (and the purpose of the car wash)

The Canadian site still has "Available on Nov. 24th" on its ad banner, but the Pre-order icon is Coming Soon. However, the launch countdown is still happening. I better see my Collector's Edition on the 24th as well...:scared:

I was just going on the dates on the Products page. :)
