:ouch:Doh.
Couldn't work out what the refs to 307 were about, just glanced at the pics.
Appologies all.

Just ordered and paid for my CE, finally! :D

I'm honestly thinking of writing a book about how I managed to scrape the money together!!

I could start a career in motivational speaking. :sly:

anyone still remembers the news about motorbike may come to GT5 ??
or it is planning to be a downloadable content ?

Nah please not again...It´s a car game, they should make TT2 for this...

Don't forget they killed two boats and got lost in the Merc vs Boat race.

Not to mention the Audi RS4 losing to a skinny hippy, the Reliant Robin lost to physics, the Evo lost to the Army, a 2CV and a Mondeo lost to a static 747 and the Porsche Panamera lost to a postage stamp.

So the back end doesn't smoke when going sideways. I don't think so.

Actually you are right..

I've just watched that bit, and when he goes sideways, the engine note disappears,. revs drop (obviously lifted the throttle), yet the fronts smoke like they are slipping under immense wheel spin for a reasonable period of time, but the rears produce nothing?

To my albeit untrained eye, it doesn't seem to add up..

It's not a huge deal, but perhaps there is a slightly wrong bit of logic that means the cars only produces smoke from the driven axle's whether from sliding or spinning

The good news is, there are skid marks from all 4 tyres!!! :)

Don't forget the tragic loss of not one, but TWO Morris Marina's.

They count as a loss.

LOL you don't really think these are real races do you?
Just think about it in the race with May flying his plane he 'just suddenly' realised that he would have to land because he was not qualified to fly on instruments at nignt, err yeah he really would not have thought of that before hand, or that he would have to take the long route around the montains. Then you had all the fafing about when May and Hammond were changing trains in Japan, I mean COME ON DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE IT'S ALL REAL!

+1

The Bugatti would have lost if they were in a private jet!! And the amount of times they changed different transport isn't really fair. Still good laugh to watch though.

Indeed, I've got the Ben Collins 'Stig' book, and he does make reference to that fact that the challenges where 'real'.. (well maybe not all, but certainly some where).. He kind of makes out throughout the book that the producers take some aspects of the series quite seriously..

LOL.
Don't take the illusion out, dude.
You don't tell a little boy, santa doesn't exist!

No I ask my ten year old son what he wants Santa to bring him and he sits down with me and quietly explains that Santa is a modern construct used by marketing people to increases sale of toys over Christmas. Then he went on to tell me the most likley origins of Santa Clause (he favors the Greek monk theory) and that if we really want to enter into the spirit of Christmas we should take the money we would normally spend on each other and give it to a local charity!

Then he smiled and said' but if my dad really loved me he would get me an Xbox 360 250gb and Halo reach so I did not have to keep asking his permision to play loser games on his lame PS3'.

Go figure maybe the gas man has some explaining to do (he is an Xbox fan and my wife seems to always be home alone when he calls).

LOL that's as real as a TG race.

You forgot the Evo being beaten by a caravan

just read that reviewers are getting their copy's on Monday and that the embargo is lifted on Wednesday
got the info from a Norwegian reviewer for one of the major newspapers over here

I just hope for TG to do another GT vr Real life comparison like they did with the nsx on laguna for gt4.
That comparison really showed how forgiving gt4 was in terms of physics and realism.

I think there's a pretty good chance that they will fit some sort of GT5 feature into at least one of the shows from their new season (coming out in February).

I mean, the PD team did spend weeks meticulously combing over the entire Dunsfold airfield gathering data for the track.

They have to at least do some kind of preview of the game and the track in their show.

SO It will be like Call of duty where the reviews are presented on launch day.

Surely Clarkson will use again the arcade mode and a Dual Shock :indiff:

I fully expect them to do a comparison between the test track in game and real life driving a car form the game, possibly the SLS as it is the cover car.

Very possible. But its still entertaining. And about staging tv content. Even documentary's are staged, specially animal ones.

LOL.

TG is so staged, everything, as is 99.5% of TV content

Still entertaining as hell though.

Does anybody know if the (music) track list has been released yet?

Did you know GT5 has confirmed custom playlists? I think I might hunt down legal copies for the previous 4 games soundtracks for a playlist.

Whoops. Hey Iv owned all the games... mannn

Yeah, but GT has always had pretty good soundtracks, so I was just wondering what this one would bring with it. :)

Well the Veyron looks amazing and the lack of Premium doesn't bother me too much as I drive looking from behind the car.

As for TG races the Jag,Vincent,Tornado (car, bike and steam train) the Jag beat the steam train by only about 10 minutes in a similar way the GTR beat Hammo and May by about 3 minutes.

I wouldn't mind another Top Gear Gran Turismo challenge.

Edited by mod - Don't just quote the same pictures again. We've just seen them. Thanks

For a standard car it looks amazing, it just begs for a cockpit view though.

And my thought about the soundtrack. I went back and looked at the options menu video, and I didn't see the option where you could view the game soundtrack. EDIT "I did see where you could customize the soundtrack. 1st option was to choose the user BGM, and the second was a check box to enable it." END EDIT Previous games you had the ability to edit the games soundtrack so it wouldn't play songs you did not care to hear. I don't see why they would leave this feature out, and also why I believe the copies that are floating around are not the final version.

Do we know something about the release date? 24 or 26?

That shouldn't be too hard seeing how they have one of the GT tracks right where they are and no doubt have some cars knocking about too, that means all that they needs is a PS3 and a copy of the game.
