I just remembered this:
you know when PSN was not available due to an date error in the internal clock last year???

maybe the "review" copies will be unlocked by date with the internal clock, and not the clock from the OS.?

It's just an idea as i don't think they got the full copy.

Or after they leaked videos, Sony blocked content on the disk via a small unpercieved update of a few kb??

as i said, if it would be full copies, Sony wouldn't have erased their systems, but would have called the lawyers and would have filled a injunction suit.
You know they did that to the germans who imported the jailbreak for ps3. Because in Germany it is forbidden Sony had the right to do so and retain the import

Just saying all theories and nothing else

there is a rumour that those copies were nov 4th versions, not the nov 25th ones, maybe those copies were made just as a novelty without the full features. remember though this isn't confirmed.
 
My friend is trying to preorder all the different vendors preorder deals so he can get all 5 stealth cars and all 5 chrome lined cars and hes going to return them all besides one, you guys think its going to work

I've definitely seen people with legitimate review copies talking about there being plenty of people online to race with so I'm not sure this is the case. As for now Tekken and RDK's copies are unexplainable to me

I'm still perplexed at the "GT5" videos with Citti di aria, Capri, El Capitian, and Midfield, yet they are not on the tracklist. PD just said, "let's render all of these cool courses in HD, and NOT put them in the PS3 game". Why?

Sort of putting 2 and 2 together here.

If these guys have "Beta" editions... wouldn't that mean that those stores that said they have copies, have Beta editions too?

Would there be a noticeable difference between the two? I mean, I'd be pretty PO'd to get a dud GT5 after this time.

I whipped up a concept for my ideal GT5 controller that's not a full steering wheel setup. The HKS controller looks alright but I believe this would work way better. What do you guys think?

Maybe some Sony guy thought it would be a cool joke to put the 26th up for a couple of countries to see what chaos that would create on certain forums... :grumpy:

This. Very easy to slide a car and not produce smoke but if their is a lot of wheelspin going on, smoke is inevitable.

I'm concerned that I haven't heard anyone either here or anywhere else who works in a game store saying that they've seen the stock arrive in their shop. I'm also surprised in a related manner that there haven't been far more leaks.

With the game due in a week in some places, the stock must be in stores already if this release schedule is actually credible. If there's no stock by the weekend then it's obviously not happening.

My local game store gets their weekly deliveries on Mondays. So that would be still alright

Actually, that's the way it is. When a car spins, in most cases only those wheels that are either locked or still powered forward produce excessive smoke, because the friction is high enough.

Correction: I only just watched the 307-vid. You can see that at the point where he spins, he does not step on te accelerator. So you're right, that's a bit odd...

In the 307 cc vid there is no shifting animation.
is this because he selected a automatic gearbox??

If that rumour turns out be true and they add motorbikes then theyl def be adding more cars/tracks.

Actually Top Gear has proven that cars are faster on a number of occasions.

Raced a Aston martin DB9 against eurostar passenger train. Car won
Raced a Nissan GTR against the 200mph bullit trains. Car won
Raced a Jaguar against a Peppercorn Steam train. Car won
raced a bugatti against a plane AND the eurostar train. Car won

Just think about it in the race with May flying his plane he 'just suddenly' realised that he would have to land because he was not qualified to fly on instruments at nignt, err yeah he really would not have thought of that before hand, or that he would have to take the long route around the montains. Then you had all the fafing about when May and Hammond were changing trains in Japan, I mean COME ON DO YOU REALLY BELIEVE IT'S ALL REAL!

Is it therefore likely that all cars do - or- this is infact a premuim car

The car in the movie is a 307.
 
When my local GameStop did the midnight lauch for COD: Black Ops, they were just taking them out of the boxes at 10 at night so it wouldnht surprise me if GT5 gets delivered on the afternoon of the 23rd.
