So...uh, I can go to Finland and buy the game now? The BUY button is green =)
Estonian ON OFF site says "not in stock"

It's says in stock only for the internet section. Still nothing in shelves.

Yep. And even if you did order it, they'd just send it according to the release date.

Not sure though... :)

Ok,now im a bit hyped!
Just checked in on Cdon.no(my gt5 retailer) to look up my SE edition, and the status has gone from "Order Received" to "Packing Goods"!!!
Long shot, but if they already now is starting to prepare`em for transport then maybe it will show up earlier than the 24`th on my doorstep :-D
*mumbles a prayer or two*

Are you kidding me?! If I didn't know that car was Standard I never would guessed. GT5's lighting engine makes everything look good. 👍

Now who's kidding who? I noticed it was a Standard immediately at first glance and not just because I knew the Veyron was Standard.
Fair enough that you couldn't notice it if you perhaps aren't looking at the finer detail of things in general but the differences aren't even very subtle, especially in those shots.
If nobody would notice the difference in the first place, then PD could've seriously cut the time it took modelling those Premium cars.
It's not one of those small flaws detected by over-analyzing a large screenshot, it's apparant right away, angly, blocky and last gen technology.
No lighting engine can solve that, unless it blinds the car totally and makes it invisible.

The pic of the Veyron looks strange to me it lookslike the wheels are too small especially on the front !.But if that is standard levels I am happy about how the premiums will look. I wonder if you can select to have the car in top speed mode ?

Why does it make me angry because Sony haven't done a damn thing in the way of marketing for this game?

The reason why many of my friends bought PS3s, the biggest, most feature packed game in history yet not one single billboard, advert.

Hell, most of the GAME store in my area have no clue that it's being released next week.

Makes me sad :guilty:

well i'm quitting my job in about 8 hours. won't be working again until end of january :)

that should give me some time to play :)

I have two weeks paternity leave starting on the 29th, also alot of spare time, after 4 kids already, the novelty wears off a bit :)

On the Veyron thing, everyone seems to be blaming PD that it's not a premium model, did anyone stop to consider that Bugatti may not have allowed PD access to make it a premium, wanted to keep some parts secret or something ?

I've not seen any in store GT5 promotion yet either but I'm absolutely certain that will change in the next few days, it's not even been a week since the new release date was announced so the promotional material is probably still in transit.

Even though Sony aren't pushing GT5 in the publics face it is being covered in the non-gaming press so there is a lot of interest and people are aware of it. Examples below and I think possibly a new image of the X1?

Thats pretty amazing if all 200 premium cars have been modeled to that level of detail!! No wonder its taken so long. Thats brilliant PD!!!!

Please tell me he is joking :scared:

SEVEN DAYS! Time is going so slow, and I have no energy to do things like clean my room or laundry. All I can think about is GT.

I wouldn't say its the most feature packed game in history but I have noticed in stores the GT5 shelving sections don't exist! you can't blame them though to be honest with Sony delaying the release and then giving everyone the silent treatment. U.K retailers don't take well to being messed around like this and this proves it. I think what we will see is when the game is actually in the stock rooms is when stores will advertise it.

But doing that sort of stuff will make the time go quicker ;)

wow, who cares about the Veyron. Sure, its a technical marvel, 250mph + comfort... but
ITS AND OVER WEIGHT PIECE OF JUNK.

I will never own it in GT5, regardless if it was standard or premium

And if you need to own every car in game for 100% completion?

I see.

Well, all i can say, that this GT5 is maybe not what most of you hoping it will be. I'am a bit disappointed, it's just not feel the "complete package" as the previous games in the series felt. Something is missing... for example 800 more detailed cars than their Ps2 versions... And the Deep Forest stage... Not even 2d trees sometimes, just extremely low-res textures on the "wall"... and the rocks... oh god.

The first PREMIUM car what you will see in the licence tests and therefore in the GT mode, have the most squared steering wheel i've seen since the late '90s. Other cars steering wheele are fine though...

And you'll see more annoying things like that, and not because it's not the final version. It is.

Certainly not up to the GT standards if you look the whole picture. :guilty:

They really need the "PS4" and another 5 years to finish this game to come close to Kazunori's vision.
:nervous:

uh oh!

I will certainly never complete the game 100%

But you get our point right?

And if competition organiser X turned up at your door and said, 'Congrats Dr.Boss you've been chosen at random to win this Bugatti Veyron!'. I can just see you now replying, 'Get that overweight piece of junk off my driveway!!'

I feel you man. :)

Why? What's to keep secret? The car is known in and out completely for years.
Can't see any reason Bugatti wouldn't love the Veyron to be Premium as it's their only car in the game.
And even when certain technology was kept secret, a videogame wouldn't expose it, PD wouldn't even need to know exactly how it worked to implement it I guess as long as it was percieved accurate playing it.

haha +1

to be honest, the really fast cars are boring to me. Veyron, Citroen GT, etc.
