For the ones whos got gt5, are there anny differances between the tuning options for the standard and the premium cars? I mean, we all know the visual modding is limited for standards, but mechanicly, like exhaust, turbos, ecu, suspension etc? I know you could tune vipers, vettes, supras and those cars to 800-900 hp i gt4, is it possible to to that in gt5 aswell?

I didn't need to look for the fine details just teh shape and color of it I could already tell it's a standard but that standard version looks nothing like the one from the photos...something's not adding up here, could there maybe be a premium version of the car you can unlock??

(which is odd because love it or loathe it, the Veyron is significant, over-hyped no doubt but nothing like it was build before and probably won't be build again).

Don't exactly know what your are implying, but I disagree based on my understanding. Every era has a significant car that up's the ante.

What's with the hole above the headlamp on the left? :scared:
sshhh kaz is listening :D

Looks the same car to me, what makes the black one look better is the dark colour indeed that covers up the lack of details and makes the car look more shiny, another thing that make it look better, IMHO

Okay good, i have reconsidered to maybe give gt5 a chanse, allthough im a modder. Any one knows how much tuning will differ from gt4, when we speaking of horsepower gains and stuff?

Thanks for answers guys.

Yes for me 2 days is a delay as i hope to get the game saturday or at least monday.

It looks exactly the same.

It looks exactly the same.

I agree. I think the black makes it look a lot better as it hides some of the nastiness. Like I keep saying though, as long as the game is kickass I'm not going to care wether it's premium or standard.

yep the darker color makes it look better, just like the standard honda in the RDK shots, compared to the electric blue micra RR it looked premium :D...

The car is standard, but it maybe the user who is taking the photo, i.e. Photomode that will either make a car look good or bad.

For example if you get a professional with a DSLR vs a amateur with a DSLR who pics are going to be better?

The chrome grill looks better on the art card, but they may have used a filter for the artwork...

are you for real? it looks nothing like it...look at the reflection, the body work is so much smoother, the chrome o the wheels doesn't even look like chrome and on the other one it does..pay close attention to the side panels and vents and you'll see the grey one is not smooth whereas the blue one is...the chrome piece at the noise of the car actually looks like chrome and it barely reflects in the other photo..we need to get him to take the same pics on tokyo and compare but i'm 99% certain that is not the same car

I'm not sure about that, but I did used to find the horsepower gains quite crazy in all past GT4's but I quite enjoyed them at the same time. For instance making a 3000gt get to 900 bhp with a topspeed of 270 was really funny. :sly:

Perhaps a little unrealistic though. :scared:

Are these tuning parts avalable for standard cars aswell?

I'm not sure, but I would think so. I don't see the point in ruling out 7/8th (over 800) of the games cars to the lack of tuning, just because they didn't have the time to make them premium.

You know though, the Veyron in these comparisons is in two very distinct and different environments??

In a city, there are going to be more reflections...because parts of buildings reflect off of things, as well as the car, and there's "more" to reflect than just trees.

For another example of this...go play prologue. Take a car and watch a replay at Fuji. Then go race and watch a replay at London. I've noticed a good difference (more reflections at London), which actually made the cars look better in my opinion. Same thing here with the Veyron I think.

Veyron is standard. It's confirmed in the official car list and you can see it with your own eyes in those screens. Get over it...

There are more reflections because of Tokyo Route track and dark blue color of the Veyron (and probably better skills for taking a picture with this advanced photomode). Wake up, the car is exactly the same.

And the Veyron is one of those cars in my opinion, at least of its era.
It may not be your cup of tea (and in many ways it isn't mine either) but it's one of those cars of which there is no equal so far.
It may be the last of the super/hypercar dinosaur breed as we know it and in some ways (although I regard it more as a luxury mid-engined GT, a continent-crossing high speed express, like a 4-wheeled Learjet) the ultimate expression of this decadence seen building up in the last 3 decades.
Even if the Veyron itself may be a disappointment, at least it put the Bugatti brand firmly back on the map for the future.

I've no doubt however it will eventually become Premium in either a future GT or in GT5 as DLC (which I don't rule out, to anyone saying Kaz doesn't want DLC, I merely suggest reading all interviews in the interview thread by TouringDevotee, no doubt you'll find other things he said before which turned out differently).

Not all Veyrons have chrome wheels, perhaps some colour-ways will have chrome wheels and others the standard polished aluminium finish.
