When it's that kind of a money machine, why they just bring a game every year, can you tell me? It' clear that they want to make money, no matter... but not in the way other publishers are doing it with bringing out a half game for the full price! So I'm very grateful PD give me such a nice game with so much love to details!

Don't make me list the "features" they just started making and didn't actually finish because the game has to finally release.

sorry if this was asked before. are there any news on the review embargo (date) or when reviews will come online?

I think I read wednesday 24th somewhere... I could be wrong, I've been working all day.

anyway, eurogamer.se aims for review on release date, but they haven't recieved their review copy yet...

Sometimes I wish there were no Bugatti Veyron out there for real. That stupids posts about "why is it only standard" are so f...king annoying. PD knows what they are doing and when they're modelling the veyron only as a standard there is a reason for it, so accept that and don't complain all along this forum.

The reason being that it was featured in GT-PSP (and build for that purpose), the reason it isn't updated by remodelling it as Premium (which they did do to the Enzo) may not necessarily be a conscious choice but merely a result of the way they planned the modelling.

I don't think it's all a question of PD knowing exactly what they're doing either or there being a reason other than time-constraints as to why certain cars are just Standard.
Looking at some of the cars included as Premium (or included as Premium in Prologue, Suzuki Cervo comes to mind) I have a sneaking suspicion they maybe miscalculated the time it took and maybe hadn't made the same choices on including certain cars as Premium if they knew beforehand they could only do around 220 before time run out.
I remember an interview with Kaz a couple of years back where he said that to make all cars Premium they couldn't release GT5 before 2010 and nobody would want that.....
I think the initial goal was to include far more Premium cars and they just started modelling 'somewhere' instead of handpicking a selection they would definitely want as a balanced representation or dead cert GT-classics when perhaps they knew they would end up with roughly around 200 Premium cars.
The final selection does include plenty of true gems, it's just that some inclusions or some exclusions suggests to me it didn't all go to plan (or at least not showing the logic I expected from PD).

I allready saw a car slid and the tyres leaves skidmarks and no smoke appears(in real life, of course).

What the **** are you talking about? 100 aren't working for you. They've been working for the millions SONY is going to profit from this game.

Where did i say they were working for me? £35 pounds is pretty cheap to you and me considering that 100s of people have worked to produce GT5!! So in all fairness you not getting ripped of like you were expressing in you previous post!

Maybe you're right, maybe not. You can only say when the final game is in your PS3. So let's wait one more week and see if they are in!

Do you have to get ripped to demand more for your money? You should be happy you're so easily satisfied.

And you still have hopes that what we've been seeing for a over a week now isn't the actual gameplay we'll be getting? It's true that we've been hoping and imagining for too long, but it's time to face reality.

He drives it in manual, as seen in the settings. So we can drive automatic cars in manual?

The rear tires are going sideways and leaving skidmarks.

Some people are never satisfied. Shame really, but I very much doubt you could do any better than Kaz and the PD team!!

either that or wait another x number of years, what would you rather have? I just wanted to start racing and as soon as people were complaining how it had no damage blah blah blah and they said they were going to implement damage, I was like oh no...no it's going to take forever.

GT is packed with content a lot of racing games don't have. We are already seeing it change the racing genre, just look at the new NSF shift teaser, dirt 3, and many future racing games will follow what GT has done but I highly doubt they could ever match it cause they spent so much time on it and no other racing game will be willing or that dedicated to put in that much time and effort.

i hope as we progress in the game PD wil be updating the game with standard to premium
conversions daily

"A recent update has been created for Gran Turismo 5, Do you wish to continue?" seeing that every time I boot the game up would make me proud

That leads me on to the next question, has the standard cars updated physics and sounds compared to gt4?

Some people are so ungrateful on here! Grow up, its just a video game! Seriously! You unsatisfied lot are the reason GT5 was delayed in the first place! (not the second time)

Peugeot 307, (coupe cabriolet??), I'm not sure. Words to that effect anyway. CC=Convertible.

Exactly, CC stands for coupé cabriolet.👍 And more precisely with a hard self-removing top. A simple soft top convertible is called a cabriolet, whatever the brand.

I've no problem with the reality. When the features are there - nice... when not I can come over it and enjoy other aspects of the game. For me there is no disappointing anymore, I love the game like it is - with or without damage or other features. I want to race around the track, that's all I want for the moment.

Yeah. Same physics engine for all, and the cars sound much better.

Yes they do. All cars are updated and use the new physics engine.

give this guy 6 months and he can create a masterpiece far beyond Kaz's dreams

Yeah. Same physics engine for all, and the cars sound much better.
Okay, that sounds good i suppose, i can live with standard cars cant change wheels and maybe little less details...

Woah there pal. I was commenting on your appraisal of attention to detail.
When I point out something obvious you go on the defensive.

If you expected PD to put super cars on some lofty pedestal, then i'm not sure why you expected that because PD has never done that in the past.

agreed...refer to my damage example

I hope that you are not counting on that happening,if you are i think you will be greatly disappointed.

Demand has always pushed technology and for that matter humankind ahead. I guess you would be pretty happy to be living in the middle ages.
I'm mostly mad at what they promised and failed to deliver.

Something is wrong when the game has been leaked for several weeks and the review copies arent out yet....something IS fishy with the leaked discs..

thx mate! so it looks like no reviews before the release! does this happen because GT5 is such a massive product!? i'm used to read reviews before the game releases!
