This afternoon i got a worrying call from Very.co.uk that Gran Turismo has been delayed until 4th December, this followed a call a few weeks back saying the 3rd of December..

Its strange considering the 4th is a saturday.. and they should know that the release is the 24th November
Maybe they havn't got enough stock ????

Im going to pre-order from somewhere else , just to be on the safe side.
 
Hopefully I will get it a day early but if I don't get it on release day I will most likely cry. Ha
 
I pre-ordered mine for shop pickup and I might be able to get it Tuesday...
not keeping my hopes up though...Anyway, only a week to go...

they definately said the 4th of December
But its nothing to worry about or i think we would know about it.

Yepp, since sony as recently as today debunked the rumours of the 2 day european delay :)

WARNING: SAME OLD RANT
Guys as it gets closer to the gt5 date i can't help but get a little pissed at PD. The whole standard car thing is pants and the selection of tracks is woeful and before anybody says DLC. I don't want dlc i want them to work on gt6. if they waste time finishing this game they will not finish gt6 and we will spend more money completing a game that should have been finshed.

I also hate the choice of cars. All but one of the paganis are standard. The veyron is standard and now it seems whenever you transfer your psp cars over they are all going to be standard including the enzo, f2007 ( 2,000,000 in GT5P 12,000,000 in GT5 WTF) and other cars that are actually premium, also they have left out key manufacturers. I understand the porsche thing but what about Koenigsegg (or however its spelt) and ascari.

Don't get me wrong I will buy GT5 when it comes and i will love it but I challenge anyone here to truthfully say that they aren't pissed off with PD for scamming us. I.E. selling an incomplete game and then making us pay additional money to make it what it should have been in the first place.

Well, the origin of the rumours have all been corrected and now display the proper nov 24th ;)

(xx.playstation.com) <- replace xx with specific country

se, fi, dk, de, uk and so on ;)

edit:

don't know if the spanish playstation page has been fixed yet, since it was the most messed up one with the message, "no date announced" haha!

I am overjoyed it's finally here!

edit: I thought they said there would be NO dlc??
 
We need to really reserve judgment on the premium car choices until we see how DLC pans out, i'm still hoping for tons of DLC including upgrades to premium for some models, extra tracks and so forth, but maybe depends on how much time PD spend still working on GT5 content, and how much they focus on GT6 (or other games, maybe a new Tourist Trophy?)

In other news, and because I can't find a recent thread about liveries, does anyone know if we can change the liveries of race spec models, or more importantly remove the liveries? I would love to take the decals off the BMW/McLaren F1 so it looks something like a production F1 GTR, likewise the Diablo Nomad. And the stock Lancia Delta S4 is all kinds of awesome. OK the tunings might be a little out (can we downtune?) but they will look the bomb :)

I'm perfectly happy too - the disc is full, so what did you expect, all the old tracks plus new, plus every car to come out since GT4?

I repeat, the game disc is full, no more room...
 
Anybody watching the England-France game? Surely theyve got to show a GT5 ad at half time? Prime spot!
 
For a company that only made 6 cars last year Koenigsegg sure does get alot of print on here!

Me three, normal delivery though. Going into my account it says est delivery 24th-27th or something but the latest email gave the ETA as the 25th. Ah well, will be patient. Maybe it's a don't build your hopes up type thing and it might arrive on the 24th.

Well maybe! I ordered the 320GB PS3 Slim + CE bundle, couldn't resist splashing out for THE must have game this year ;).

@deltac my friend ordered Black Ops from there and he got it a day early.
