My GF called me today and the conversation went like this:

Her: Your package arrived today.
Me: What package?? did you open it??
Her: I opened the cardboard box but not the package.
Me: What is in the cardboard box?
Her: Something with a car
Me: OMG BABY (then goes on to smile foolishly and jump around), let me call you back when I calm down.

So I hop in my car, drive as fast as I can without getting a speeding ticket (wasting time with cops).....call her on the way, ask her if there are "two packages" (2 x GT5 CE), she said "yes"...

I try to stay calm for the next 30 minutes. I go upstairs. I look at the cardboard box on the outside to look for "DO NOT SELL BEFORE NOV. 24"...then I see "DO NOT SELL BEFORE NOV. 9" instead.....

I open the box. I see two packages of COD: Black ops with the remote control car...(which I had forgotten to cancel)

i dont believe it will reach MW2 sales but at least we can hope half of MW2 sales. Sony doesnt know how to make advertisement or promote anything.
First week 3 million copies worldwide.

I saw that they had them in stock so I asked them for the collectors editon and paid for it then left. Simple as that
EDIT:I'm installing the 10GB data,it's too bad I can't read the apex book at the moment it's too dark in my room.
 
what happened with the people who won the subway contest and were supposed to recieve an early copy of GT5????
 
I an sooooo gutted !!!!!
Ive been living in Japan for almost 5 years now,and since the day i moved here ive been waiting for GT5.even Qued up for the night of the PS3 just so i could get one on the 1st day.since then all i have been waiting for it GT5.
found out last month that me and the Mrs are moving to Australia at the end of December and all my worldly belongings have just been packed and shipped!!!! the week before our beloved game comes out!!!
I want to know who the bloke Sod is???and rewrite his laws.
Now not going to be able to own it until early next year. =(

It said you could win it before you could buy it. It didn't say you'd receive it before you could buy it. I won a copy of LBP2 and was planning to sell it to upgrade my retail copy of Gran Turismo to Collectors Edition. Don't know when LBP2 will be released but I'm still happy about getting my retail copy on the 24th.

No, you will get it before the release date, I won GT5, LBP2 and Modnation Racers and it said on the site you could get GT5 before the 24th. Plus Subways twitter has said over 20 times you will get it before it hits stores.

What the hell happened to that damage??? I know it looks weird, but I prefer it to the weak damage we've seen in the retail version.

Emo Kid, I was going to ask if you got the automated phone call. But then I remembered you didn't preorder.

I got the word from my store that he will sell it when it arrives. He said I will be getting the automated call the day before. Funny, got a call for Madden, but I'm not sure we got one for EyePet.

Well when you won it said to expect delivery in 6 to 8 weeks which would have been after the release date of Nov. 2nd. I think if you were right you would have already received it. People in France are already selling it today and all the stores have already received it.

Mine said 8 - 10 weeks.. :boggled: I just hope I get my copy by Monday or Tuesday would be okay.
edit: and Subways twitter said they've already started shipping prizes.

Would like to see my GT5 from Subway get here early also! Then i don't have to open my Collectors Edition. Hoping at least for monday!
 
i guess it would be great if one of the "older" users created a thread where people who already have the game can post where they got it from- so everybody can look up and see for stores nearby...
 
i see the air break work around 1 min 50 so depends on brakeforce?

are there any new informations about the hud? Is it possible to disable it? If not i pray for Polyphony to give that option via update on launchday.

Just drove the IS-f on the prologue. Very excited to drive this upcoming game on my G25. Soon!!! Yes the word SOON means something now right???
