From what i have seen, DFGT's FFB have garnered high reviews, so he should be fine on the FFB side, he might miss the shifter and better pedals though. :)

It got good reviews because its more affordable for people and thus they went that route not knowing how well the g series wheels are. But from the reviews I read on the three, alot of people had the DFGT and the G25 or G27 and they said its a huge improvement over the DFGT. So I went with the newer wheel. Only down side is all the buttons won't map. With that said, hardware meant for the pc works pretty well for the ps3.

No, to make a "tuned version" all you do is take a car, take it to the performance shop buy the parts for it which also includes lighter windows and a carbon fiber hood. Then you take it to GT Auto and but bumpers, side skirts, and wings. You can also buy custom rims. There are no "Tuned" cars to unlock.

I assume you have a copy and you have verified all this. I am sure in the game somewhere in the higher levels there are tuned prize cars.

Seems like a stupid crime. Yeah, two 53-foot long trucks are going to stand out quite well and with the detailed discriptions, shouldn't take too long to find them. I'm impressed that the trucks didn't care GPS trackers. Neither, apparently, did their cargo. Although, the PS3s should be able to be tracked. I seriously doubt $1million dollars worth of goods is going to be missing for long.

not for sure about canada, but here in the US most trailers wouldnt have GPS trackers on them, usually just the truck itself. If you ever pass one on a hwy, look for that white beacon above the cab, atleast to my knowledge, its always on the cab of the truck, never on the trailer part itself. Again, I could be wrong, and they could do things differently in Canada, but I doubt it since one was plated with Nebraska plates.

Also, it wouldnt take someone too long to unload all that stuff onto a uhaul truck or something and dump those trailers. It could be done in a matter of hrs.

I will be seriously pissed if those thieving 🤬 got Toronto's shipment of GT5. It turns out that those guys ran off with about $1,000,000 in stolen Sony products including PS3 and PSP games and consoles. I'm guessing there's TVs and all sorts of other stuff as well. :ouch:

But we should be safe. Stores should have already received their shipments a while ago for bar-coding and shelving. I've still gotta pay off my pre-order tomorrow, so I'll give them a shout about midnight launch as well...crossing fingers.. :scared:

Why would there be tuned cars when you can tune cars yourself? I mean, that makes no sense.

Not every car in the game will be purchased by everyone if that car isn't needed. On top of that, it can be expensive to get a car to the level of being labeled tuned. If I have a choice to get 1 of 10 tuned cars for a particular race, why would I purchase all 10 cars and tune them when I can pass the race with one. I can still get the 1000 cars in garage trophy without tuning it. If GT4 had Racecars as prize cars, whats wrong with having tuned prize cars. Now what wouldn't make sense is to not have tuned prize cars. But if a tuned car is a prize car, then people will use it because they didn't have to spend the resources to get it to tuned status.

Can anyone else confirm Technicolor is doing the Gran Turismo 5 disc replication, packaging and shipping in Canada at their Brampton, Ontario plant here?

If so, there could be a ton of GT5 discs at that location. Not sure if that was the original departure point for those stolen trucks or not.
 
Well i gotta check pacific mall for GT5 then...where else would they be selling all the PS3/PSP games in those mass quantities....

It's same for me. But let's not freak out just yet. Like I said, I'll be heading to EB tomorrow to pay off my collector's edition, and ask them whether there will be midnight launch..or would I pick up on 24th morning. If they tell me they won't be ready for 24th...that's when I'll start freaking out, but by then I'll post up here and inform all us T.O. guys. :scared:
 
Here's the vid that all the Veyron lovers wanted to see... It's dissapointing... :guilty: Has a really bad quality... We cannot see reflections, shadows, etc, and the engine sound is horrible... Could it be due to be a standard car? At least the wing goes up by itself...

I preordered it online...Looking at the status of the order, before it said something like "preorder ships 11/4" and now it just says backordered. I don't know what that really means. Does it mean that the shipment is going to be delayed, or does it just mean it's not available right now.

My friend preordered CE few weeks ago and his status says backordered also..

Did a quick google search..some reported that backordered, in green letters, means nothing bad...

whatever. this is a waste of time panicking and thinking about random stuff. almost like when my first GF dumped me.

I'm very confused. How did he get a 1:21??? That's way too fast. That car got a 1:19 when the stig drove it and he didn't crash 10 times.
