I skipped the install and went right to the game i play wirelessly and i disconnected it....it freezes as soon as i get to the main menu it say welcome to grand turismo and fades away and then nothing just black screen with the clock the icons and installing flashing in the corner...

I can still hit the home button and navigate through pics videos all that crap but the game is frozen....i just played grid for a couple mins with no problem so it has to be the disc right...
 
Finally beaten those damn Samba vans... Now , lets get myself a nice car and take it to the TG track in arcade. :)

I never liked the rallying in GT4 to be honest. GT3's rallying was more enjoyable. In my opinion there was way too little grip in the rallying and I never felt like having any control over my car. Especially at Chamonix, the challenges and licenses on that track were by far my least favorite thing to be occupied with in the game.

The rallying so far in GT5 looks like a lot of fun 👍

Very happy to agree with you about previous GTs and hear your very positive opinion about GT5 rally experience. I still wait to get it, happy to know that driving is a joy and an experience like in no other game till now! 👍
 
Done 35% (lvl14)of the game in one day :) My eyes hurt...

Love the 08 Civic type R!
And great that you can combine NA tune with a turbo.

i see what you mean but it is in my top 10 favourite cars, but for someone who doesn't like them so much i can imagine it being boring.

It's a good challenge, IMO. Racing against equally low-powered vehicles brings out the best driver in you. In this case, it's all about the driver.
 
Wow does it seem as if we could finish this game faster than the previous gt's ?

when do the used car dealership change or add cars ?

ive tried lol.....it freezes at 1/4 the way done im not going by the timer but the bar and i give it plenty of time...i gave it 8 hours to finish last night and it didnt move an inch in the 8 hours i dont see how it can be the disc....it went from the box 4 inches to the ps3 and has stayed either in there or in the box

but ive played frid and need for speed today no problem sooooo FML lol
 
Ok,. im installing the patch right now. I cant believe I had it this early (considering Im from Argentina).

By the way, on the intermediate kart challenge, did anybody notice that before you started the race, the amount for 1st place is 15,000 cr, but when you actually come in 1st place, you get either 34,000 or 35,000 cr?
 
Does anyone know if you can use the Top Gear track online? It's not on the track list :S
Sorry if this has already been asked, but its one of the reasons i was stoked for the game!!
 
I may well be repeating stuff but worth repeating, just got the game and to those who are having issues with slow loading times:

1. If you are playing offline, don't connect to PSN as apparently this slows loading times

2. There is an option under Options - Miscellaneous to pre-install tons more data onto your HD, as well as the initial install. Mine said 50 mins but unlike the main install, was more like 10 minutes.

*Hopefully* your loading times will come down some if you follow these steps

And now to drive some cars :)

You also get the credits for 3rd and 2nd place - you get some nice cash that way to start the game! :dopey:
 
Custom soundtrack is kinda weird...
It keeps playing the same song at every race when it's not even on repeat and you can't skip songs..idk if it's just me tho, but having to pick a different song by going to the options is a little tedious. Can anyone help?
 
did the kart challenge plus a couple of others, have 150,000Cr now, bought a WRX STi and won by 51 seconds in the Clubman Cup at Cape Ring :P

Oh ok, I was like "woha!" At first I thought it was a glitch. It is a nice way to get cash. I'm already up to 144,644 cr.

It's like I can keep up with them in manual, but in automatic, they just pull away. The highest I've placed was 4th.

I struggled with the bus to but managed to win after a couple of tries, but I can almost not get around the first corner in the second challange with the Elise... That one is hard... :)

Welcome aboard, drtyblu!

I had the same problem when I tried to do the Custom Soundtrack thing (mostly for the easy trophy). Are you doing it from inside GT Life's menu? Head to the main menu of the game, and go to Options. From there, hit Hardware -> Audio. Click "Enable Personal BGM" first, then click "Select Personal BGM" and when the menu pops up, click "Play Mode" to tell the game to shuffle the whole folder. Don't click on one of your actual tracks.

You'll always hear the first song in your folder, it seems (it does that for me), but after that, it will shuffle properly 👍
 
the yaris/vits race in the beginner series I'm using the sport version I won and im slower than others wtf?
 
Anyone have a tune for the Bugatti yet? not that it really needs to be tuned because its already so amazing, but a tune would be nice.:dopey:
 
So, the first time i fired up gt5, i saw the beautiful lotus europa jps, it was only 22,000 and i only had 20k. I bought the cheapest car from mazda, the mazda autozam, and won a few races to get 22k, when i went to the used dealership it was gone :(

Yes you can,i had a Kart race there yesterday.I don't know if the person hosting the race has to have it unlocked or not.I'm not sure how that would work.

Yeah just like Used dealers in all GTs the list rotates, seeing as how there is 800 used cars, it will be a while before it pops up again, although hopefully the cars rotate independently and not as a whole list.👍

The cars rotate,after each race i believe. You just have to keep checking back and hope you can catch it.
