So is anybody using the community tab in GT Life Mode? The online functionality seems to have potential but it's kind of tough right now to meet and greet people in-game. I was hoping to see a better integrated online...

Can someone please post a video of the wheels you can get in GT Auto? My PS3 is at school and I am home for thanksgiving until tuesday.

I think that it is great news. Kaz mentions that they're going to be adding regulations to the online mode, which is what people have been asking for. So it's not specifically for bug fixes. This is how you want developers to act though. You want them constantly working to release patches and fixes for their game as quickly as they can. And PD seems to be doing just that.

yet so convienent. I just enter civic races with a lambourgini and go downstairs and eat a snack :D

It depends on your car. I think you get a choice of around ten.

Very easy to get the car sideways, and also quite simple to change directions fairly quickly, as well. Not as ice-rink slippery as GT3, but still very easy to control. I would go so far as to say, a lot of the inherent physics flaws in GT4 (unrelenting understeer being the biggest offender, but unnatural tire traction coefficients didn't help either) are less apparent in the rally modes, probably due to the loose surface.

I never liked the rallying in GT4 to be honest. GT3's rallying was more enjoyable. In my opinion there was way too little grip in the rallying and I never felt like having any control over my car. Especially at Chamonix, the challenges and licenses on that track were by far my least favorite thing to be occupied with in the game.

The rallying so far in GT5 looks like a lot of fun đź‘Ť

I broke 2 ribs, scapula, have 5 staples in my head and a massive concussion form a mishap at work Monday. Still haven't made it to Best Buy to pick up my reserved copy........not that I can use my wheel. The graphics will probably make me throw up, too. :grumpy:

How do i do the big install on gt5 because i was not given the option when i started the game?
 
hey i need help long story short

i have the old ps3 and its completly updated and i restored it because i havent played games on it in forever....

i put gt5 in yesterday i was signed into psn i instaled the patch then started the instal it got to about 1/4 done said 13mins later an hour and a half later it hadnt moved...

so i delete all the saved data and tried again with the same results

next i tried to skip it....i got as far as the main menu and it froze it wouldnt let me do anything but the it still flashed installing at the bottom right

so i went offline and got as far as the menu clicked on arcade and 2 hours later the gt5 symbol was still there

so i restored the ps3 and started it all over i downloaded the patch and started the install went to bed 8 hours later it was still stuck at 1/4 the way done

someone help please
 
Finally got my stealth SLS. Love it!! I didn't expect to be able to use it in GT life mode though. Thought it would just be available in arcade mode. I could easily win some of the races now if I use it. At least until I get to the tougher series'.

I did put my B-spec driver in it though. A. Ventura (haha) is killing every race now.
 
Has anyone noticed any famous AI names? I'm currently racing against M.Schumacher in the Japanese 80s event. I also raced H.Kojima.
 
Top Gear Challenge... Lotus Elise..... BUGGED....

I've golded almost everything so far with little trouble, I get to this challenge and it's a struggle to make this car go round the first corner at 30mph without it drifting out of control. Once it even slightly floats out of control, even full opposite lock will not snap it back around.

The camper van in the previous top gear challenge had better handling.

Loving the game so far, but this one car is bugged - I mean, it's a lotus, it's supposed to have good handling!

Setting/Options and something like "miscellaneous" options. Hope it helps.

That's where I parked it yesterday... maybe it's the tires, but it feels the rear is on ice. Had more fun on gravel :D

nice to know that kaz is going to update on a regular basis.

You very much get the impression this game has been a massive learning curve for the guys at PD. The gaming landscape has changed significantly since the last game, and is continuing to change at a rapid rate. i guess it was finding a balance between core GT, and approaching new tech, and new consumers.

I guess, and i hope a lot is going to be put into pratice over the coming year. If they are has generous as Criterion were with Burnout paradise, we going to be in for a great few months đź‘Ť

I'm on Level 7, but spent a few good hours last night just driving around on a few tracks - I'm in no rush to complete the game, but dam its good!!!!!

Uhgg... Still haven't complete the Top Gear van challenge. Can't get past behind the first driver. So annoying...

i can't make out if you have done this, but try installing it with psn off, sign out, turn of you network connection etc, then try installing, it will stay on certain times for a long time, don't let that put you off turning off the system, if it isn't done within an hour then, sorry i don't know what you can do.

I saw a screen earlier of a driver named J.Bond. And i'd be very surprised if there wasn't a driver named A.Senna, given that he's Kaz's favorite driver.

Yeah i think the car is so light yet has a high power-weight ratio and mid engined so on cold tires it has trouble putting down power.:)
