I' sorry I know I know it's off topic but this is weird!

GT academic car in Forza 3?! Aren't it suppose to be copy right car from PD?

ME ..I'm pecimistic ...So I say that was a ruse for you to input some FORZA s*** In this Forum !! 👎
How can you not know it was Livey work ..comon Man :dunce:

P.S: I love the images don't get me wrong ..But I think PD/KAZ are too arrogant to allow Liverys in GT ! THERE I SAID IT.

I have the F1 stealth and it is very very touchy. One wrong move and you're sent spinning.I don't know if the stock one would be the same way or not.

This.

The F1 Stealth is incredibly intense. Your concentration levels go through the roof.

Indeed my friend thats what I love about this car and with the stage 3 engine upgrade is even better.

Rules of the Top Gear Samba Bus Challenge

1. You can hit all those cones along there, but hit that one THERE and you are disqualified

2. You can hit the other vans *there* and they can hit you but if you hit them (insert random place here) you will be disqualified

3. Cut that last corner, as many have, including the Stig, you will be disqualified

4. Have a lot less fun on this challenge than you expected

I have to say, I'm having loads of fun with the special challenges, but the top gear challenge is a complete 🤬 disaster. I can't believe anyone from the show had anything to do with it, it so exquisitely misses the point.

So uhm.. Something I noticed.. The day to night cycle goes from day to night, but not back to day.. :indiff:

Does on some tracks. My wet nurb goes from wet night to dry morning.

Hmm.. well I just watched the RUF yellowbird demo for about 20 minutes. First minute or so, it went from day to night, then just stayed there the rest of the time.

I think the bald fellow (no discriminating) from the video in Post #69018 is a fool. I haven't yet played GT5, but it is dumb to compare a Formula One game to a Gran Turismo title. Two totally different styles of games. Perhaps the merit is granted that there are elements that make sim racers as true sim racers. J.F. Musial had the kind of opinion I would have given had I played this game. I have all of what I think makes racing games fun. Surely as a Gran Turismo veteran, I would be impressed with what this title has to offer. You take a game's shortcomings with a grain of salt and try to enjoy a game as best as you can. I'm not in that "it took five years, so this needs to be impressive after having to wait so long" group. A game has to truly disappoint me for me to feel like half a decade goes to waste. I don't think GT5 seems like any kind of total waste based on what most people have said about this title.

And "no damage?" Didn't you see that Impreza WRC rally car get owned in the E3 2009 video? Did you see some of the vicious crashes and hits that GT5 had in the E3 2010? Don't give me that poppycock about no damage (unless you're talking about vicious damage). Damage is there. Based on what I've been able to see about GT5, I think the damage model is more fair if anything. Imagine someone playing GT5 for the first time ever and has never really done any serious racing in any recent racing games. He/She would get the hell scared out of him/her if the car the person is driving ends up becoming a mess of parts. Sure, it would be realistic because simulators simulate, but it would make the game a bit tough to get used to. Part of the reason why I get fairly concerned playing more hardcore sims is because I become fearful of pushing myself and my car too far to where I don't think I can race to victory on a consistent basis. Think of a Formula One game (and especially an F1 game). You can't just tag the corners of another car and expect to come away clean. It doesn't really take much to screw up an single-seater formula car. I mean, the guy makes it sound like there's damage, but no DAMAGE. That's bull crap to me.

Still can not wait to get this game (as well as a PS3). I still have a lot that I want to try to evaluate before making any serious comments in regards to GT5.

Has patch 1.03 come out or not? They say it did, not coming up for me.

The patch they are talking about is patch 1.02 not 1.03.I don't know where they got 1.03 and the patch size was 133MB not 113MB.The patch last night increased the number of simultaneous connections from 500,000 to 1,000,000.If you download 1.02 last night or today then you have the latest patch.

I've just spent the last 4 or so hours online at Nordschleife (various rooms) and it is an absolutely wonderful experience. There were a few punters trying to drive supercars not very well. Me in my Skyline pootling past them on the next corner after they've spun is a great feeling.

(I had to give up as the wine flowed my skill decreased a lot)

However, the point of this post is a bug: I'm sure it's been noticed before me but when a race is started at said track, the grid is all over the place and squashed up. I found myself staring right into the side of a car on one occasion and on another I was facing the pit wall; reverse is really not the ideal starting gear.

This happend on probably 70% of the races. To be honest I found it quite funny at first but it did get annoying with 16 cars on the grid and 2 or 3 at right angles.

Maybe it's just my bad luck. Anyone else had this?

Of the many online races I joined, about 3 of them actually started. Has anyone else had this happen? When I enter a room, people are doing free runs, and the race never starts. What's up with that?

It's because the room 'holder' (i forget the actual term) can decide at any time to start a race or keep it in free run mode.

I have recently played a GT5 demo at Gamestop tonight, I thought it was something from months back. But, it was about up to date. I took the Nissan GT-R Race Car, (not clearly sure about its full proper name) at Nurburgring for a 2:30 time limit. The physics have improved, the cockpit and racer realism are as precise to life, and the damage and spin outs are amazing. Adds extra goosebumps to the excitement. :sly:

Can't wait until Christmas to get the full edition for the drive of my life. Might skip some school days to stay home sick.

does v1.02 patch have something to do with damage
i played quite a lot online today and i saw quite good amount of damage, sparks on cars hitting the walls in daytona, bumpers falling down after rear crashing a buddy.
nissan calsonic , with the rear destroy on coute de sur.
it was a wonderful experience , only annoying thing kids with the headsets

So you just wanna race ha, to 'win'.. even though you drive that car/track combo for the first time eh... you gotta get familiar with the car on that track, it's a never ending process, most of the time that's more interesting then starting a random race when no one knows how to drive properly.

Happened to me twice yesterday, also in one race I wasn't sideways but all cars in front were so I zoom past them and won. It's both sucks and hilarious as the same time

I don't think so.I think damage is dependent on your level. As your level goes up your damage increases.I went up two levels today and have noticed more damage than yesterday.

It depends on the rate at which it has been set.

So I was racing the Supercar Nostalgia event in the Amateur events at Laguna Seca. Right after the race started a yellow Miura jumped into the lane leading to the inner lane of the hairpin turn and took that through the turn. I was dumbfounded! Am I missing something? Is this a legal in a real race, or has PD tweaked the AI so that it can cheat?

Oh man, that series really was difficult. But I used a tuned 69 Z28 to do it.:sly::sly: Also, that yellow Miura raced really dirty against me as well. I mean kept basically trying to spin me out on the Rome circuit.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one this sort of thing has happened to. I guess I'll have to keep my eyes open for more of these kinds of shenanigans. It doesn't bother me, in fact I think it's funny, and I'm glad the AI has intelligence enough to be aggressive, or in my case even cheat.
