Does anyone know how to change the tires on your car right before a race??
I want to play the GTchampionship with my 09 GTR V SPEC, but I need to change its tires from sport to racing. I went into settings right before the race, and all my tires show up; however, the game doesn't allow changing them?! weird..

Bwahahaha, Saudis are rejoicing everywhere! All you need now, is gold plating for the Russians and the game is set for the tasteless douches with too much money everywhere. :lol: ;)

As a "driving simulation" it is not just the best, it is the only one at it's level. Giving this a low review, reviewing it as another "racing game" is just stupid. It's like saying Flight Sim sucks because it lacks Wipeout HD speed and thrills. Or that Quake is better than MOH or COD.

Within each "predefined" category, there are very different games.

This game stands on it's one on the "racing/driving" as the only real driving simulation. Rating it as a "simple" racing game is unfair. Unless they re-review other games and chop some points off for them not being this good, as driving sims, it simply can't be compared.

Couldn't agree more. In my opinion, the physics are very close to iRacing. I nearly died with laughter when IGNorant started comparing them to Need For Speed and Forza. :lol:
 
I got the beautiful Corvette 1969, and installed a Stage 3 Racing Exhaust, looks beautiful-
First on the Track, sounds like a Honda, Ford Fokus or Golf..must be a bug.
Wrong file on wrong place
Want to buy a Fiat 500, the new one, didnt do this because it it RHD, an italien car should have LHD, thats normal, japanese cars and british cars have are RHD, but a Fiat?

Same faults than in Forza 3, a Scirocco with also RHD..never want do buy or drive that...

Yea as close as yer gonna get on console I reckon. A little more forgiving than iRacing though, but that's not a bad thing. I like them both in different ways.
Am enjoying GT more every day. Have been playing B-spec mode for the first time ever. Never played it in the previous GT. Great fun :)
There was one race I couldn't get my ai driver to win for ages and couldn't afford to tweak the car anymore so actually fiddled with settings (camber, suspension, gears, brake bias etc.) and it actually made a difference. He went on to win. Cool that you can get a setup and see the difference when the ai drives it.
Nice feature.
 
Anyone run the intermediate top gear test with the lotus? Any reason why the car feels like it's on ice skates?

Thats the way it is. Its a crazy hard challenge to pass. Your just going to have to pratice a lot or either get lucky to get 1st or 2nd, 3rd. :sick:

It feels like it's on ice because it's using Comfort Hard tires. Those are the worst tires in the game.

It's kinda like taking the really slippery economy tires that a stock Prius or something comes with for fuel economy stuff, and putting them on a lightweight, high powered, MR race car.
 
Why don't GTPLANET Set up room and post the room numbers...so we can all find each other real quickly ? I/m sick of racing with people who just want to crash into you.

Ive been trying to spot them in my replays with no luck so far. I think you might be able to see them on race cars. I dont really have any "good" race cars yet so maybe that is why. Im sure its there. Just got to look hard enough:sly:

Jam all the assists on for this one except TC, turn that off. Everything else on max including steering assist on full to make life easier and be done with it.
Don't know why they put comfort tyres on a MR lightweight car anyways.

They are on my stealth cars.
 
My C9 didn't show glowing brakes but the race was in the rain i try it later on the normal track.

The price car is Buggati Veyron, but it's a crappy standard :grumpy: I don't get Kazunori sometimes though.. The fastest most expensive stock car in the world, and he makes it standard in GT5?! :crazy:
 
I'm loving the cockpit view in GT5, is so much more bumpy and raw than it was Prologue, however I'm enjoying the Standards a lot too. I guess the physics and FFB are doing their part to make me love this game at each played hour. :O

Did 32% of the game in one and a half day of playtime, I believe that pretty much sums up if I'm liking GT5 or not. :lol:
 
Is the S License easy or is it just me? Using controller (other licenses 50% gold 50% silver), got gold on all S tests in about an hour
 
Hey! Has anyone else run into a corrupted data file after loading the cars from the collectors edition? Jake had to delete a corrupted file loading them and we are still trying to finish the fix.

I thought the S was mlles easyer than all the rest aswell, suppose were better at actual racing other cars around a full lap rather than a stupid timed test.

I'm thinking it could also be some licensing agreement with some of the manufacturers. Some of them probably don't want their cars fiddled with ?
 
I connected the power supply badly on the back of my DFGT, and spent the next hour scared that I might have screwed up the wheel since there was no force feedback. Geez.
 
For the life of me I cannot B-Spec the Pick-Up Truck challenge, completely tuned up and rebuilt a Ford F150 and it JUST CAN'T DRIVE.

What truck did everyone use?

A tuned Dodge ram 1500.Tuned it to close to 650HP.Won the race with no problem.
Nevermind i thought you were talking about the Sport trucks races.

Please don't ruin the experience for those of us that haven't got that far yet. I removed the rest of your quote as you gave away a big spoiler. I'll leave this thread if spoilers are allowed (perhaps a mod could kindly clarify) but I don't think the outcome of completing a major event should be discussed here.
 
Now we are doing a whole new install, and Jake will probably lose his game save. We couldn't find another way to remove the glitch. The gas pedal indicator was what gave it away.:yuck:
