It feels and looks almost like a real highway, in many ways. The top speed main straight is 10 Km though, compared to the 12 Km stated in the press release. Maybe it's not a perfect oval? I also hope it will include some infield variations, there's plenty of potential for them.

Finally a straight which is actually long and level enough to max out a car with reliable results. I might be tempted to buy this even if I didn't want to.

Or the straight on the track is 12km but the top speed run only utilises a 10km stretch, There were no corners apparent on the radar at either start or end of the run so there may be a km on either side of the top speed area.

I think there is a hill on the track so maybe this is after the hill?

Fantastic. Thanks for the video.

PD, awesome job. Looks like a place to drive forever into the horizon. Loved the scenery, really, really seems to be a normal highway.

It you look at the NSX video the track looks frankly huge! The down hill section thats being mentioned can be seen far into the back ground, and I mean it looks small. I've got the feeling it will be an oval with two massive banked curves either end.

But go check out the background of the NSX video you'll see the hill section way in the background, should give a bit of a hint to the size of the track!

The 2 oval tracks in the game have a GP course on it...so i presume this huge track comes with at least 2 variations. Yes 3 tracks. (fore the price)
Test track mode. The oval track. And GT track.(maybe one more, i mean 2 tracks inside the oval)

TRACKCEPTION

durrr

Rather disappointing to see that the track appears to run clockwise. I'm hoping there's a reverse variation so that the track can be run in the proper direction for oval racing.

You are correct, pause the video at 0:03 you can see the large tripod tower and the banking far behind where the X1 2010 is starting.

Edit: tree'd by Shirakawa in the other thread.

Thank you VERY much for sharing. 👍

I can't believe how long that part of the track is. It looks amazing. :O

I've never tried drag racing before, but it would be great fun there.

Looks a bit boring tbh, I dread to think how long that's gonna take in a normal road car.
Hopefully there's much more to it than we are seeing here.

I kind off feel the Same .I find SSr7 boring as well.

But Testing Alone should be worth it 👍

Would be extremely cool if there was a huge oval, and have a sort of Millbrook alpine test course type deal... but I do think that might be too much to wish for... but an extremely long oval would be great for testing! and of course drag racing!

Great find! Btw. in the NSX video is can see something like there. I cant post here link because I am writing from mobile, but in night version of the route x is visible on left side a road wich goes from down to "nowhere"

I'll check this out, dude.

sounds promising.

I just took a look, I think that patch of nothingness seems to be the sea/water that can be seen on the otherside of the track near the downhill section with the ships.

Redeemed my Birthday Ticket today, and the car I got was... a Silver Metallic 1983 Fairlady Z 300ZX (Z31)! So it didn't turn out to be as bad as I thought it would be. I knew the car I was going to get probably wasn't going to be anything too amazing. I was a bit surprised I picked up this car. The Birthday Ticket feature is very cool. Again- mad props to Polyphony Digital for implementing everything so well.

I'm sorry to break up the latest GT news with this post, but this is after all a general thread on GT5. Just wanted to share this.

Indeed its an awesome feature. Last night I got a Pagani Zonda S 7.3 for my level 15 ticket. That was a blessing :P

GT5 forgot my birthday. :(

I can't be bothered to faff with the date to get it either...

What is the first car you are testing on Route X? I'mma go for the Zonda R. :D

How is that possible??? I got my gift in late November. Unless they stopped doing it in a recent update?

Well it might be that you have to log in on your birthday. I didn't until the next day; this was in Sept. I guess it serves me right. :p

Yeah I'm quite sure you have to log in on the day.... Just realised myself that I forgot to on my birthday... Damn Skyrim!!!! :dopey:

Big blue, the GTO TT. Couldn't max it out on les hunaudieres and this smoother longer straight on Route X will give me an official figure.

PD has a unique talent of making scenery in hard places. Some of the city tracks in GT5 are stunning compared to other racing games I've played.
This route X is going to be great because of what we have seen the scenery rocks. Think of the improvement when you look back to the teat track in GT4.
